Multiple rumors have suggested that Apple will release a low-cost 6.1-inch LCD iPhone this year. So today, Twitter leaker OnLeaks collaborated with the MySmartPrice blog to create render and a video for the 6.1-inch iPhone. According to sources, the 6.1-inch iPhone will be released in September this year along with the second-generation iPhone X and the 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus.

In addition to the display, the renders imagined the iPhone 9 to adopt the iPhone X-style notch, which means that the device may support face IDs and with no Home button. In order to support wireless charging, the device will be featured with a glass back and an aluminum frame like the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

It appears that the device sport with the single rear camera. These render is based on the prediction of former KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who says that it will feature a single-lens rear camera, aluminum frame, LCD display, 3GB of RAM, and apparently lack 3D Touch. He predicts that the 6.1-inch iPhone will cost between $700-800.

As for release date, The Bell reports that the display for the cheaper LCD model has encountered notch design problem. Production is two months late, which means that it won’t go on sale until November. However, the report is based on an unnamed analyst, we don't expect this to be true.
