Apple Issues Beta 3 Of iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, And tvOS 12.2

Apple has seeded the third developer beta of iOS 12.2, watchOS 5.2, and tvOS 12.2, two weeks after it released the second developer beta.


iOS 12.2 introduces Apple News to Canadian users in English or French, AirPlay 2 and HomeKit for third-party TVs, redesigned Apple TV Remote interface in Control Center, Safari warnings when visiting a http website, a more customizable Downtime setting in the Screen Time, and four new Animojis: giraffe, shark, owl, and boar, let you express emotions in 3D animated emoji characters.

The iOS 12.2 beta 3, however, includes a couple of minor tweaks as well: the Control Center's Apple TV Remote shortcut redesigned with a darker interface, the About page in the Settings app gets a fresh look with device information been rearranged, and for developer, there are new discount options for auto-renewing subscription, while design resources for Siri Shortcuts is available.

Regrading other operating systems: in tvOS 12.2, you can ask Siri to play music and tv content on your HomeKit device. While watchOS 5.2 introduces a new exclusive watchface for Apple Watch Hermès users.
