Thanks To The Strong Demand Of iPhone XS Max, TSMC Or Hit All-Time High Revenue Record In Q4 2018

A new "China Times" report says that thanks to the better-than-expected iPhone XS Max demand, the A12 processor, which was originally supposed to ship in the first quarter of next year, will be pulled in advance to the fourth quarter, this should improve TSMC revenue status; since Apple has added more orders to the assembly plant.

The supply chain has a strong faith in iPhone XR and believes it will sell like hot cake, as for iPhone XS Max, regarded as the most expensive flagship model in history, was originally thought to have the worst sales volume, however, it turns out the results are better than expected. And, Apple has requested millions of orders additionally.

Apple's 7nm A12 Bionic processor wafer shipments are still going strong, and wafers that were originally shipped in the first quarter of next year are moved to the fourth quarter of this year due to the better than expected iPhone XS Max demands.

The chip maker suspect that the shipment of 7-nanometer wafers based on Apple's A12 processor will remain in high demand, and in the third quarter, some orders affected by the virus will be deferred. All in all, the report suggests that TSMC fourth quarter revenue may have a chance to hit a new all-time high record.
