iPhone XS Max Ranks #2 On DxOMark Camera Rating, Place Just Behind Huawei P20 Pro

DxOMark today published the iPhone XS Max camera score, the latest flagship smartphone received an overall score 105, just behind the Huawei P20 Pro. In its in-depth analysis, DxOMark found that the iPhone XS Max is excellent for taking photos at daytime and video recording, with a wide dynamic range and goes into perfect details. 


For photo quality, DxOMark believes that many outdoor images have a high level of detail and pleasant colors. The professional camera review site also praised Apple's new Smart HDR feature, which uses a variety of technologies, including sensitive light-sensing components, enhanced image signal processor and advanced algorithms to enrich both the highlights and shadows in the photo.

As for video recording, which got the score of 96, DxOMark said the iPhone XS Max has "outstanding video quality in bright light." Overall, they saw noticeable improvements in many areas over last year's iPhone X, it's far reliable, and deliver good results. DxOMark describe the iPhone XS Max camera as "one of the best mobile camera."


To get the most accurate result, they captured and evaluated over 1,500 test images and more than two hours of video make sure used the camera's default settings. Still, to some extent, the camera quality is really subjective to many factors and not just to its environment, the quantity, or analysis.
