Apple Adds iPad 2 To The Vintage and Obsolete Products List

Today, Apple lists all iPad 2 as "vintage and obsolete products." If an iPhone, iPad, iPod, Beats, or Mac product is no longer in production for more than five to seven years, then it will be defined as a vintage product, and if a product was discontinued more than 7 years ago, then it will be called as a obsolete product.

Regardless a product is vintage or obsolete, it will longer eligible to receive services from Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider. However, due to local laws, owners of vintage products may still obtain service and parts from Apple service providers or Apple retail store in Turkey and California.

iPad 2 was released in March 2011 and has been sold until March 2014. iPad 2 comes with a 9.7-inch display, 132 PPI, featured with A5 chip, the same chip as iPhone 4s and iPod touch 5. Apparently, the iPad was last iOS devices introduced by former Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
