The annual CES consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, NV, where more than 4,500 exhibiting companies showcases their latest consumer technology hardwares, content, and more. Popular Apple accessory maker Mophie has just unveiled its battery case designed for the iPhone XS and XR models, ahead of Apple's official Smart Battery Case, which was planned to be released last December.

Mophie's Juice Pack Access Battery Case claims to offer up to 25 hours of battery life for iPhone XS, while deliver up to 31 hours of battery life for iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. And for the time, the juice pack access enabling users to plug in wired headphone via the iPhone Lightning port, and the ability to charge the iPhone via the Lightning input.

As for the battery case itself, which equipped with a built-in wireless receiver and transmitter, meaning you can conveniently charge the case with any Qi-enabled wireless chargers, however, it will charge the iPhone first, then the case. The case features an impact-resistant polycarbonate exterior with a soft-touch finish, while the case looks thicker, there is no worry about scratching and cracking the display.

According to the filing submitted to the FCC, US carrier AT&T seems to be interested in the wireless charger accessory market. AT&T will introduce a charger that supports wireless charging for both the Apple Watch and iPhone, as the charger has a built-in 3000 mAh battery that can be used as a power bank.

Apparently, the AT&T wireless charger is called the Power Drum, just simply put the Apple Watch on the front of the charger, while placed the iPhone on the top of the accessory. The Power Drum uses the Qi standard and can output 10W of power, although the iPhone wireless charging limited to only 7.5W.

As for compatibility, it supports Apple Watch Series 3, Series 2, Series 1, and Series 0. While the Series 4 wasn't listed, it most likely to support it nevertheless, it will probably support all iPhones with wireless charging as well. The input to the Power Drum is Micro USB, instead of the hottest USB-C, sadly.

It's unclear when will the Power Drum be available to consumers, it's priced at $99.99, however. (Via Zatz Not Funny)

While you can also order the AirPods case on Amazon for $5 cheaper than the one Apple sells.

This case offers IP67 water resistant (1 meter for an hour) for AirPods, and it can also resist the drop and dust out and most importantly, it meets or exceed military standard 810G for drops and shocks. Earlier this month, it was reported that Apple plans to debut the Smart Battery Case for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and XR. Today, our friends at Appleosophy found photos of the iPhone XS smart battery case in the Apple resellers documentation, which tells resellers how to organize their Apple silicone and leather cases for the fall 2018 season in their stores.

From the photo, we can see that two of the cases clearly have a battery pack hump and a cutout for the vertically-aligned rear camera on the latest iPhones. The guideline time is "Fall 2018", which is another sign that Apple plans to launch a Smart Battery Case for the new iPhones before the end of the year. At the end, Apple still has time to deliver on its promises, but the release time is likely to be postponed until 2019.

It is worth noting that this is a reseller's guide, the new smart battery case appears in the "leather" column, and only in Black, in addition, Apple does not mention any of white version. Apple used silicone materials in all previous Smart Battery Cases and offered a variety of colors, it's unclear if the company plan to do so for this year's iPhone models.

Apple's first Smart Battery Case is dedicated to the iPhone 6, which included an additional 1877 mAh battery for the phone while also provide extra protection, its successor iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 too introduced the corresponding versions, however, the iPhone 7 capacity increased to 2365 mAh.

Yesterday there were reports claims that Apple may be planning to introduce a new Smart Battery case for the iPhone XS. Today there is new evidence that the accessory may available more than one iPhone model and also leaked what it will be look like, according to Guilherme Rambo of 9to5Mac who found the three model identifiers associated with the Smart Battery case in iOS 12 code.

These model identifiers, namely A2070, A2071, and A2171, are more than likely match to three new iPhone models released this year, particularly iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and the iPhone XS Max. Another identifier found in the iOS code is said to indicate that the accessory will be released in 2018. Design wise, the "power bank" looks bigger, implying the new battery case may have a larger capacity.

It's unclear if this year's case to support wireless charging. Different from the previous models, the new model also matches the design language of the new iPhone. As for the release date, considering the first one launched in December of 2015, Apple will debut the Smart Battery Case in the near future.

Launched in 2015, Apple's Smart Battery Case will allow you to charge your phone while protecting it at the same time, plus it supports devices such as iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and iPhone 7. However, after the release of iPhone X and iPhone 8 and 8 Plus last year, Apple has not launched a matching smart battery case, some may wonder what they possibly stop making it...

Well, a new icon found in watchOS 5.1.2 beta 2 might prove that Apple is considering launching a new Smart Battery Case for iPhone XS. In terms of design, the new Smart Battery case is not much different from the battery case of iPhone 6, 6S except that the rear camera is arranged vertically, corresponding to iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. (Via 9to5Mac)

Though Apple has never made Smart Battery cases for the "Plus" iPhone, presumably because one of the main selling points of these devices was the increase in battery life. We never know if the company would still remain that way, we might as well only see the iPhone XR/XS Smart Battery Case being launched.

Apple has released few iPhone accessories today for users: the new iPhone XR clear case that let you protect the device while showing off its colorful body, and the 18W USB-C power adapter that's introduced alongside the 2018 iPad Pros. The company has also announced that the HomePod will be coming to the Chinese market in early 2019, as it released HomePod Update 12.1.1 with Chinese language support.

The iPhone XR clear case, as we said before, lets you enjoy the look of iPhone XR while providing extra protection, and you don't have to take off the case when wireless charging. The case retails for $39 in the United States, you can now order it on Apple's online store, will be delivered this Friday.

Apple is also selling the 18W power adapter for $29, that allows you to fast charge your 2018 iPad Pro, as well as previous iPad Pros, iPhone 8, iPhone X, or iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR devices with a Lightning to USB-C cable. You can purchase the product here.

Apple has introduced three new colors of iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max silicone case, as well as three new colors of Apple Watch Sport Band. The three new colors of the iPhone XS/XS Max silicone case are: Hibiscus, Mellow Yellow, and Pacific Green. However, the company didn't launch cases for iPhone XR.

At the same time, Apple also began selling the new Nike Sport Band and Nike Sport Loop Band available exclusively at Nike.com earlier this month, colors you can choose from including the Celestial Teal, Olive Flak, and Smokey Mauve. The new Nike Loop Sport Band are able to reflected in the light, as each band color is paired with a matching watch face.

The new cases and bands should be available for delivery as soon as next Monday if you placed an order today, and will be available for purchase in retail stores on next Tuesday.
