Following a report that the Google Home Max and Sonos One sound better than HomePod, Consumer Reports just published their best smartphone camera rankings, and surprisingly, the magazine calls iPhone X as the top smartphone with the best quality.

Apple's iPhones took up most of the spots on Consumer Reports' list of top 10 smartphone cameras, with the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus following the iPhone X. With Samsung's phones including Galaxy S8, S8 Active, S8+, and Note 8 did well. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, and 6 Plus also earned top 10 spots.

In 10 of the phones the media tested, all did well in its still-image quality tests, which are designed to “evaluate resolution, dynamic range, color accuracy, and visual noise.” And in the video part, the iPhone X and iPhone 8 to be “excellent” for video quality, but iPhone 8 Plus for some reasons only received "very good."

1. Apple iPhone X
2. Apple iPhone 8
3. Apple iPhone 8 Plus
4. Samsung Galaxy S8+
5. Apple iPhone 7
6. Apple iPhone 6s Plus
7. Samsung Galaxy S8
8. Samsung Galaxy Note8
9. Apple iPhone 7 Plus
10. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active

Photography sites DxO and DPReview both gave the iPhone X's camera a satisfaction result, in which DxO gives a score of 97, that's higher than any other iPhone, while DPReview says it is capable of "extremely impressive" results.

Apple had always focused on its camera technology, for instance, the company introduced dual rear lens in vertical orientation for iPhone X with optical image stabilization for both the telephoto and the wide-angle lenses that are first to be used in an iPhone. The device adopted Apple's own front-facing TrueDepth camera system that enables neat features like a selfie Portrait Mode and Face ID.

In its latest watchOS version for Apple Watch, Apple has added new APIs which now allows to tracking snow sports like skiing and snowboarding. So apps that including snoww,Slopes, Squaw Alpine, Snocru, and Ski Tracks are able to take advantage of the features when the developers updated their apps with the new APIs.

Starting today, skiers and snowboarders can use Apple Watch Series 3 to track their activities via new updates to apps available in the App Store. Watch users can now record runs, see vertical descent and other stats, and contribute active calorie measurements directly to the Apple Watch Activity app.

It's worth to noted here that, however, Apple doesn't expose these snow sports data in its official Activity or Workout apps. The Workout app includes a generic ‘Snow Sports’ label in the Other workouts category, but it doesn’t do anything special other than naming the workout.

Once an app is launched with the new APIs, users should be able to determine the calories burned, number of runs, as well as the average and maximum speeds by using the help of a combination of the altimeter elevation readings, accelerometer and GPS integrated into the latest Apple Watch model.

Moreover, Slopes and snoww also support SiriKit, which means you can start snowboarding and ski workouts with a simple voice command. Currently, the ski and snowboard tracking is limited to Apple Watch Series 3 models, due to is the only ones with a built-in altimeter to track elevation.

We are unclear when Apple plans to start debuting these original shows. Even though the company has produced Planet of the Apps, as well as the Carpool Karaoke, neither of them were very well-received.

After several of beta of testings, developer and hacker CoolStar has finally released public version of the Electra jailbreak tool with compatibility for iOS 11.0 to iOS 11.1.2. The new tool do comes with Cydia, and it is the first time that general users able to install and run Cydia on an iOS 11 device including iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

It should be noted that it is a semi-untethered jailbreak, in other word, you will have to launch Electra app for the jailbreak to work every time you reboot your device for Cydia to work. You will also have to side-load the .ipa via Cydia Impactor in order to keep your device in the jailbreak mode. Here's how to install the jailbreak on your iOS 11 devices.
  1. Download the Cydia Impactor and Electra IPA on your computer, and then connect your iPhone to it and launch Cydia Impactor.
  2. Once the device showed up in the Cydia Impactor, drag and drop the IPA on it.
  3. Enter your Apple ID password and username (Don't turn on two-factor authentication unless you want to get errors)
  4. When it's complete to install the jailbreak, a message will be pop up, which you should unplug it.
  5. Go to your device's Home screen to launch the Electra app, if there's a error, go to the Settings - General - Device Management, next tap on your Apple ID, and tap the Trust button.
  6. Lastly, tap the Jailbreak button in the Electra, and enjoy it.
It's also worth to said that there are many packages are not supported by Electra and iOS 11, so make sure to check compatibility first. In the meantime, as suggested by CoolStar, for its best stability users should do a clean restore by using futurerestore before running Electra, which requires a saved blobs.

Apple has granted a new patent application for an Apple Watch charging carrying case that works like the AirPods case, which could providing somewhere to store the Watch when it's not in use, while simultaneously recharging it, somewhat like a power bank for your Apple Watch.

The patent is being titled as the "Case for wearable electronic device," describes that the product which could "securely hold and store a portable electronic device, such as a wrist-worn or other wearable electronic device, along with one or more bands that can be used with the device." The ability to charge bands is described as one potential embodiment.

In additon, the case can be also used to storing a few extra bands, it could even charge a "smart band," which would include some form of circuitry and have abilities to supplement the Apple Watch with additional sensors or extra battery, like the medical sensor so that it won't required to submit the entire watch model.

Some embodiments of the disclosure pertain to a case that can securely hold and store a portable electronic device, such as a wrist-worn or other wearable electronic device, along with one or more bands that can be used with the device. Embodiments of the case can include circuitry that can charge the stored electronic device and some embodiments can further include circuitry that can charge the one or more bands stored in the case if those bands have electronic components, such as circuitry, sensors and/or batteries, that also require power.

A carrying charging case could be more convenient than a puck when travelling, allowing an overnight charge without yet another thing to plug in overnight. There are also numbers of third-party accessories for Apple Watch charging case, like the Unity Pocket as shown in the picture above.

Apple has confirmed on its latest version of iOS Security Guide that it's using Google Cloud Platform for storing encrypted iCloud account data, but it doesn't include any of the user-identifying information. It wasn't being noticed until it was spotted by CNBC's Jordan Novet earlier today.

Google won't able to accessing these encrypted data, so there's no way to tie even that to any particular individual. Even though that Apple doesn’t go into specifics about its use of third-party servers, it's also possible that a same user data is spread across more than one platform.

Piror this, Apple used Microsoft Azure for its iCloud storage, but now is replaced by Google Cloud Platform. On the other hand, the company's still rely on the Amazon's S3 web service for additional storage.

iCloud Data stored on Google may include contacts, calendars, photos, videos, documents, and so on. but Apple is keen to stress that Google has no means of accessing that data, as each file is broken into chunks and encrypted with AES-128 and SHA-256 keys.

The New report come from Forbes have suggested that a data extraction company called Cellebrite currently is now able to crack most of the iPhones available on the market. So for example, the Department for Homeland Security was successfully obtaining data from an iPhone X in an arms-trafficking case in November, by using the technology to do so.

As of now, Cellebrite hasn't publicly announced details on its ability to break into devices running iOS 11. But according to the Israel-based software company's PDF documentations, it appears that they can unlocking iOS 5 - iOS 11 devices, including iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, marketing its cracking techniques to law enforcement agencies around the globe.

Even through Apple is continuing to add security features into their products, like the iOS 11, you now required to enter passwords before trusting a computer. But still, companies like Cellebrite work to find new ways to crack iOS devices and then sell their services.

Perhaps you remember in 2016, FBI wants to unlock San Bernardino shooter Syed Farook's iPhone 5C, but they were not able to crack it, so the government agency hired Cellebrite to accessing the device after Apple refused to help the FBI.

According to a Bloomberg's report says that the upcoming "iPhone X Plus" will be featured with the “screen close to 6.5 inches” and to be “about as sharp as the one on the 5.8-inch iPhone X.” The screen will also includes potential screen resolution plus the possibility of gold returning later this year.

The person who familiar with its development told Bloomberg that the new plus model is code named D33, and at least some prototypes include a screen resolution of 1242 x 2688, which is slightly sharper than the iPhone X's 2436 x 1125 of screen resolution.

The phablet is code named D33, a person familiar with its development says, and at least some prototypes include a screen resolution of 1242 x 2688.

Furthermore, it's believed that Apple might expanding the color lineup to feature a gold option for the flagship iPhones once again. Currently, iPhone X lacks a gold color options because of the production problem, but both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus do comes with gold versions.

Bloomberg claims Apple is also considering a dual-SIM card feature in the larger iPhone to appeal to travels who frequently swap their SIM cards between carriers or Apple may want to wait for an E-SIM solution instead.

Apple is considering a gold color option for the update to the iPhone X and the larger model. The company tried to develop gold for the current X handset, but abandoned it because of production problems. [...] In at least some regions, Apple is considering offering a dual-SIM card option for the larger model

It has widely believed that there will be three new iPhones to be launched later this year, including a 6.1-inch LCD iPhone that is not going to include 3D Touch nor dual camera, an iPhone X successor model, and a larger 6.5-inch "iPhone X Plus." What devices you looking forward into?

The analysts emphasize that the handphone will be produced by Primax, SZS to handle the metal forming process, and using a new design that different from Beats Studio 3, at same time, it has comparable convenience compared to AirPods, with the sound quality is even better than AirPods.

Apple to have own-brand, high-end over-ear headphones with all-new design; to be as convenient as AirPods with better sound quality; shipments to begin 4Q18F at earliest; Primax & SZS will be the key suppliers & will benefit from high ASPs. We believe that after AirPods and HomePod, Apple’s next addition will be high-end over-ear headphones, making its acoustic accessory lineup more complete. Existing suppliers Primax and SZS will be Apple’s partners on this new product. Primax will receive assembly orders on its familiarity with the acoustic business, and SZS is likely to use MIM technology advantages as leverage to become the exclusive or main MIM part supplier. The new headphones will be priced higher than AirPods and should help boost the business momentum of Primax as the assembly provider.

The company is also expected to release second-generation of AirPods. AirPods 2 basically unchanged in shape, but to use the new W2 chip to further enhancing the battery life and improve Bluetooth sound quality. AirPods 2 supports Hey Siri voice commands, plus a new charging case that will be capable of wireless charging function.

Steve Jobs, the co-founder and former CEO of Apple, who led the company to wild success with products like the iPod and the iPhone, if he didn't pass away in October of 2011, Jobs could have to celebrate his 63rd birthday as he was born on February 24th, 1955.

According to Japanese blog Mac Otakara who spoken to "reliable sources" have apparently confirmed a claim made earlier in February by The Apple Post that the wireless accessory will go on sale in Apple's retail stores sometime in March, even though a specific date still remains unclear.

The claim come from a Best Buy staff says they will begin receiving AirPower units in-store by the end of next month, the date most likely clocked at March 21st, the tracking records shows that in 2016 and 2017, when the company had a event in the spring, it was always in March 21st. The source also reports that Apple sending additional units to be used as store demos/displays.

AirPower is a wireless charging mat designed to allow a user to charge up three devices at same, it will supporting Apple Watch Series 3, AirPods charging case, iPhone 8/8 Plus and X. AirPower will also communicate’ between each device and intelligently decide on how much power each device requires, and use the Qi standard technology.

Apple didn't announce the pricing of the product, but according to Polish online retailer X-Kom's website it suggest to be cost 999 Złotych. Since many of products that are cost 999 Złotych on Apple's online store in Poland are priced at $199 in the United States, like the iPod Touch 6, so we believed that the AirPower will be priced at $199.

According to data shared by Loup Venture finds that there were 127 million global Apple Pay users by the end of 2017, rose nearly two times from 62 million at the previous year. In the meantime, there were 2707 banks now supporting Apple Pay, up from 41% year-on-year, with 64% of top 100 US retailers now support the mobile payment system.

Given that there are about 800 million active iPhones around the world, meaning that 16% of iPhone owners have activated Apple Pay. As we break down, five percent are located in the United States, so there are 38 million people use Apple Pay in the U.S. While the other 11 percent base are international, with 89 million using the service.

As for the Apple Pay adoption in retail stores, only 14 stores accept Apple Pay on desktop, 24 on mobile and 24 in their apps. It did, though, note that this represented strong growth on the previous year’s numbers. Some major retailers like Target and Walmart still won't use Apple's mobile wallet.

We completed our annual Apple Pay review and found year over year growth has been impressive with active users more than doubling (source: Apple), transactions more than tripling (source: Apple) and online merchant adoption increasing by ~50% (source: Loup Ventures). That said, we believe only 16% of global iPhone users have turned on Apple Pay. We remain optimistic that Apple Pay will gain widespread adoption over the next 3-5 years given integration OS and iOS makes it the easiest to use digital wallet.

Although Apple Pay continue shows slow adoption, Loup Ventures analyst Gene Munster said he and these researchers "remain optimistic" that over the next three to five years, given that Apple Pay is "the easiest to use digital wallet" because of its deep integration into iOS.

Apple announced on the its Developer News blog that apps can now have up to 10 screen-shots per device form factor, increased from the previous limit of 5 per device. This new change applies to the iOS, tvOS, and watchOS App Store, to shows customers more of an app's experience.

Prior this, app developers were limited to offering five screenshots and with up to three 30 second preview videos for demonstrative purposes in the app description page, which now is increasing to 10 images plus videos. But the number of screenshots that display in a search result is still limited to three portrait screenshots or one horizontal screenshot.

This should be win-win situation for both developers and customers, where developers will be able to provide 10 tailored screenshots for each device, which will give the customers a clearer, more expansive picture of what an app is capable of, providing a better idea of an app's feature set ahead of purchase.

As stated in the above, it only applies to iOS, watchOS, and tvOS App Store, for the sake of time being, Apple didn't choose to updates for macOS App Store, meaning that the number of screenshots in the Mac App Store remains unchanged.

According to the report by Bloomberg, Apple's working on several upgrades to its wireless AirPods with a new version. The new AirPods are said to come this year with an upgraded wireless chip that will let user invoke Siri using the "Hey, Siri" voice command without the need to having to physically tap the headphones.

The ‘Hey Siri’ in ‘AirPods 2’ will make it easier for users to control their music and adjust volume. Currently, if you want to adjust the volume using the AirPods alone, you have to double-tap an earbud, and invoke your Siri for a adjust volume request.

Like with its mobile devices -- the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch -- Apple intends to frequently update the AirPods with new hardware features. The Cupertino, California-based technology giant is working on a new version for release as soon as this year with an upgraded wireless chip, the people said. A subsequent model for as early as next year is planned to be water resistant, they added, asking not to be identified discussing private product plans.

Although Bloomberg claims the AirPods will come as soon as 2018, we still don't know what event could Apple introduce the new wireless earphones. However, according to The Apple Post, one of their tipster who works for Best Buy, said both AirPower and the 2018 AirPods will be released next month.

Furthermore, another AirPods that expected to coming next year is for the headphones to "survive splashes of water and rain," even through they won't be designed to be submerged in water, reports Bloomberg's source. The plan comes after a report which current AirPods survive being submerged in one foot of water for five minutes.

As far as changes in beta 3 goes, Apple said in release notes that the battery complication "no longer reports remaining battery percentage in increments of 5", in other words, it will be more accurately reports battery life. It also introduces a new animation when launching apps that need to load.

Another welcome feature is the return of a much-desired function that allow music playing on the iPhone to be controlled using the Music app on the Apple Watch. In prior versions of watchOS, the Music app could only be used for control music playing from the watch itself.

Fast Company recently named Apple the world's most innovative company, with its focus on hardware and software integrations, the media also showed off an impressive list of accomplishments in 2017, which included the iPhone X, the Apple Watch Series 3, ARKit.

Fast Company also sat down with Tim Cook for an interview, where the Apple CEO talked about their culture and approach that has led to products like the iPhone X, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, and more importantly, Apple's long-term plan...

When asked what makes good year for Apple, Cook said it is always the focus on "products and people," for example, rather than the company's earnings results or stock price, still it has "little to no effect" on Apple's propensity for innovation.

Stock price is a result, not an achievement by itself. For me, it's about products and people. Did we make the best product, and did we enrich people's lives? If you’re doing both of those things–and obviously those things are incredibly connected because one leads to the other—then you have a good year.

Among those, Cook clams Apple is "not in it for the money" with Apple Music, he points out that streaming music service is more about ensuring that artists can be funded in order to have a "great creative community."

Music is a service that we think our users want us to provide. It's a service that we worry about the humanity being drained out of. We worry about it becoming a bits-and-bytes kind of world, instead of the art and craft.

You're right, we're not in it for the money. I think it's important for artists. If we're going to continue to have a great creative community, [artists] have to be funded.

When is comes to what drives Apple to creating products that "change the world for the better", Cook use the iPhone X's portrait-lighting feature as the example.

Take iPhone X, the portrait-lighting feature. This is something that you had to be a professional photographer with a certain setup to do in the past. Now, iPhone X is not a cheap product, but a lighting rig–these things were tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The CEO reveals that Apple is in the work for new products that are way out in the 2020s, And noting that Apple leave some room where possible to enhance a product even in the months before it ships. Few of Apple's 2020-era plans have been rumored, an AR headset and a self-driving car platform.

For us, on the product side, we have to come up with our silicon requirements three, four-plus years in advance. So we’ve got things that we’re working on now that are way out in the 2020s.

According to French media Consomac who spotted several unreleased Apple devices which were recently added to the Eurasian Economic Commission’s database, and it appears that Apple registered new tablets, suggesting an iPad refearsh is on the table.

The two new iPads' model numbers are A1954 and A1893. In additon, there are a handful of "sample" products listed that have model numbers starting with AA and CC, it's unclear what those listings may pertain to.

Multiple rumors suggest Apple to update iPad Pro this year with iPhone X features like the TrueDepth camera, Face ID and Animoji, but we are unclear from the filing if these model numbers belong to the refreshed iPad Pro models or updated 9.7-inch iPads and iPad mini models.

From the track records, similar filings with the Eurasian Economic Commission have been submitted for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Apple Watch Series 2, AirPods, as well as MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models, all within one to two weeks before each product was released.

All in all, these fillings strongly hinting that Apple would release a bunch of new products in March, like iPads and a MacBook refresh. At same time, the tech-giant is also expected to release iOS 11.3 during the event, that brings four new Animojis, battery management, Messages app update, and more!

We know that Apple puts a lot of energy into advancing the iPhone's camera system, facts have also proved that iPhone is one of the most popular cameras in the whole world. And recently the US Patent & Trademark Office published a patent application from Apple that relates to camera systems, and more specifically to adapting camera systems to accessory lenses.

While trove of third-party accessories designed to enhance Cupertino’s already second-to-none camera tech. Apple itself currently does not offering any self-branded iPhone camera accessories of its own, but with the invention hopefully, we will see this system surface to make us love our iPhone cameras even more.

According to Patently Apple, the patent is being described as an accessory lens that can be “attached, mounted or held relative to the camera lens of a device such that the accessory lens directs light passing through the accessory lens to the camera lens.” And It's capable of shrink or expands the focal length of the camera lens or enables closer-focusing macro capabilities.

Additionally, it maybe able to produce “improved image quality” for iPhone cameras when the user using accessory lenses. For instance, SFF cameras may be used in mobile devices, may also be used in other devices such as laptop or notebook computers.

It would definitely interesting if someday Apple releases camera lens attachment like this, but we need to point out that it won't happen any sooner. We are not clear when the such a product enter markets is unknown at this time, plus Apple is known for patenting more than it produces,

According to the report by Nikkei that Samsung is now looking new customers for its OLED screen, because of Apple cuts this quarter's iPhone X production, so the demand for OLED screen dropped significantly. While Samsung mistakenly predicted iPhone's demand, which resulting in "saddled with excess production capacity."

At the same time, the report also points out that iPhone X production cuts nearly 50% that will cause the chain reaction in the supply chain, Samsung's OLED overcapacity is the most obvious result. With LG Display and Chinese's BOE able to mass-produce OLED screens this year, it will be more difficult for Samsung to promote OLEDs.

Nikkei Asia Review's report is also likely to be wrong - exaggerated the fact that iPhone X production cuts, according to the research firm IHS Markit's data, it does not suggest that Apple is the prime mover of a contraction in demand. Plus Tim Cook showed excitements about the iPhone X sales since availability.

We're thrilled to report the biggest quarter in Apple's history, with broad-based growth that included the highest revenue ever from a new iPhone lineup. iPhone X surpassed our expectations and has been our top-selling iPhone every week since it shipped in November.

However, taking into account the "Nikkei Asia Review" isn’t the first time to claimed that Apple will cut iPhone X production in half, because Apple’s decision was in response to “disappointing holiday season sales," and given the supply chain outlet's track record on Apple-specific events, or cause-and-effect from Apple's moves is iffy at best.

An end era of Apple's old official corporate address - One Infinite Loop, since the company changed it to One Apple Park Way, continuing the lengthy process of moving employees to the new Apple Park campus built down the road.

And the first documents to bear Apple's new One Apple Park Way address were forms filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, on Tuesday, that's when Apple held its annual shareholders meeting that took place at Apple Park's Steve Jobs Theater.

The transition is significant because it is the first time that Apple’s corporate address has changed since the Infinite Loop campus was completed back in 1993. It also hints that the address change signals the company is finally settling into its new digs and is ready to call the Cupertino campus "home".

The $5 billion Apple Park was first unveiled by the company co-founder Steve Jobs back in 2011. It was announced in February of 2017 that Apple Park as an official name of its new headquarters, which will home to all 12,000 employees when it's completed. The campus is featured with an iconic circular "spaceship" building and surrounding environs that have been ongoing for well over four years. Apple held their first product introductions at Steve Jobs Theater last September.

In iOS 11, the new Control Center toggles to turning off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth seems do not actually turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on an iPhone or iPad, meaning if you hit the buttons for disabling Wi-Fi or Bluetooth in Control Center, the iPhone or iPad will disconnect from wi-fi or Bluetooth. Believe or not, you can still turn it off through the Control Center...

  1. Go to Control Center, tap on the AirPlane button, which will disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth at same time.
  2. Once you are in AirPlane mode, tap on the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth button to enable them.
  3. And now if you want to disable Wi-Fi ot Bluetooth, then just press these button, but left AirPlane mode on.
  4. If you going to Settings app, in the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth section, it appears that it turned off.
  5. This works great when don't want to disable Wi-Fi, but want to turn off Bluetooth.
In some ways this change is well-received because now there is an easy way to disconnect from wi-fi or Bluetooth without disabling those services, this can make it slightly easier to join a hidden wi-fi network from an iOS device. However, the change is also lead to some confusions and complaints.

Of course, you can also disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the Setting app, me personally, I would rather turn it off through Control Center, because it's faster and convenience. What are your comments on this, do you like the tricks?

According to a Bloomberg report, there's a design flaw in Apple Park’s all-glass design that for some employees who might not have been paying 100% attention to walking that could have accidentally walked into the clear glass internal walls of the pods that make up Apple Park.

It's especially prominent when many employees eyes are glued to their iPhones, and often don’t see the glass walls and doors that are ever-so-prevalent around the office. A solution to the flaw is that these employees stuck Post-It notes to the walls to make them easier to see, but they will distract the building's design.

Surrounding the building, located in Cupertino, California, are 45-foot tall curved panels of safety glass. Inside are work spaces, dubbed “pods,” also made with a lot of glass. Apple staff are often glued to the iPhones they helped popularize. That’s resulted in repeated cases of distracted employees walking into the panes, according to people familiar with the incidents.

While Apple is still in the process of moving employees over to the new campus, it is not clear how many firm number on how many times distracted employees found themselves face-first in a glass wall or door, but it reportedly has been happening repeatedly.

According to iMore's Rene Ritchie Apple told them a fix for a bug that will crashes apps like Messages, when you sending a specific character in the Indian language Telugu. Apple says it will addressed in an upcoming iOS update that will be released in the near future, ahead of iOS 11.3, the third major update to the iOS 11 system.

By sending a specific character in the Indian language Telugu, a bug will appear that might cause apps supported by the text input apps on iPhones, iPads, and Macs to freeze up and become unresponsive, such as Messages, Safari, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, etc.

Apple has confirmed to iMore that the bug is not only fixed in current betas of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, it’ll also be made available to the current release versions of all the operating systems as well.

So, for example, though the bug is fixed in iOS 11.3 beta, Apple will push out an update to iOS 11.2.5, the current release version, to fix the problem as well. That’ll make sure everyone gets the fix as quickly as possible

When the character is sent in an iMessage, the Messages app will then refuse to function properly unless the offending character is removed by deleting the conversation with the person who sent it. Moreover, if the character is viewed via an iOS notification, it maybe cause the entire device to crash.
