According to hiring data tracked by Thinknum, Apple appears to take its Siri intelligent assistant seriously, as the company posted 161 job listings, which sets an all-time high record, and the number is up 24 percent over the last month.

As the chart in the above shows that Siri-focused positions have increased since summer of 2016, even though it really spiked last month, 125 of the 161 Siri job openings are in Santa Clara Valley at Apple’s new headquarters, nearly 78% of the openings being for that area.

When broken down into departments, 154 of the listings are for software engineering job. Meanwhile, there is 3 for product management, 3 for information systems and technology, and only 1 for Information Systems and Technology.

It's well-known that Apple has come under fire for lagging behind other smart assistants on the market like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Hopefully, these job listings indicating that Apple is trying to ramp up efforts to know that where it needs to improve.

If you have subscribed to the Apple Music, a new section called Music Video will appears in your Music app, ahead of the iOS 11.3 release, which Apple promised in the preview of the software update, however it’s already showed up for iPhone and iPad users.

Just tap on the Music app, then go to Browse tab, and choose "Music Videos", which will showcase some music videos that have been available on the service, a curated "Today's Video Hits" allows you to watch today’s top music videos, as well as featuring the latest music videos and spotlights on particular artists.

In addition, you can also subscribe to video playlists, which would especially helpful if you have an Apple TV because you can now both listen to the top songs and watch their accompanying music videos. Moreover, it learns your music taste, giving you best personal music preferences.

On the other hand, even through Apple released iOS 11.3, it’s only for the sixth-generation of iPad, we are unclear when could the company launch the official release of 11.3 version to everyone. When do you expect the new update to drop? Let us know in the comment.

According to leaker Benjamin Geskin who reported that Apple has another color option for the iPhone 8 Plus planned. Ben said that iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X to have (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition version. He recently claimed that Apple to release the iPhone X with a so-called Blush Gold color.

If the iPhone 8 Plus Red version really appears, I believe Apple will also do the same to iPhone 8 and iPhone X at the same time. In addition, not just one rumors suggested that Apple intends to launch a new color option for iPhone X in order to drive sales, Japanese blog Macotakara also agrees on the matter.

Since there’s a chance that Apple could launch (Product) Red version of iPhone models, designer Martin Hajek has created mockups imagining the iPhone X in the identical red color as last year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. What do you think of the render?

Apple has released the iOS 11.3 update particular for the sixth-generation iPad, which was announced yesterday at an education event in Chicago. Even though the new iPad starts to accepting orders yesterday, it will not be delivered until later this week as the device isn't yet in stores.

We are unclear why Apple has released iOS 11.3 for the new iPad but not for any other iOS devices, one thing that we can expect is the launch suggest the release of iOS 11.3 for the other Apple products is imminent and could perhaps come for other ios devices in the next couple of days.

iOS 11.3 brings big features like Messages on iCloud for storing your iMessages in iCloud to save valuable on-device storage space, a "Battery Health" feature designed to provide iOS users with more info about their batteries, four new Animoji characters for iPhone X, and Business Chat for contacting businesses.

Other upcoming functionalities are including a new section in Apple News displays the top videos, support for Advanced Mobile Location for more accurate location when placing an emergency call in a supported country, review sorting options for the App Store, software authentication for HomeKit devices, new version of ARKit that can be recognize and place virtual objects on vertical surfaces, etc.

Few decades ago, let's just say you have watched an tv show called Star Trek, where these characters can recording audio in their wearable devices, and now with few watchOS apps, it will make you feel like you’re living in the sci-fi future telly promised us all. Today, we'll introduce an app that sure makes your life easier.

The app's called Just Press Record, which is kinda like a Voice Memos app on Apple Watch, however, when you dig a little deeper, especially once you start exploring the app on your iPhone, the app can do much more than Apple's Voice Memos app. Here's why!

Well, first of all, when you tapping on the screen of your Apple Watch, it'll handily jumps right to recording, enabling you to start capturing audio within a second or two. Secondly, the app also has the ability to transcribe your recordings, where you couldn't do with the Voice Memos app on your iOS devices. Last but least, with watchOS 4, the app will record in the background, and you can temporarily pause with a downward swipe.

Furthermore, the recordings sync via iCloud, in other word, when you open the Just Press Record app on your iPhone, your recordings should already be there. Moreover, recordings are stored in the Watch tab, and can also be accessed by date, or by searching on for the words within them. If you are not happy with recording quality, you can use external mics and ramp up the recording quality from 44.1kHz AAC to 96kHz/24-bit audio.

It makes handy to record important conversations or lectures in school or college, and now with transcribe feature, for instance, if you conducted an amazing interview with someone about hedgehogs a month back, which is far simpler to search for the word than you trying to remember when the recording was made. According to the reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who released another investor note today claimed that the next-generation of Apple Watch will be using new design with 15% bigger screen, alongside enhanced health monitoring and longer battery life.

The new models to be launched in the third quarter of 2018, Kuo says these new watches will have a 15% larger display. The analyst believes a combination of a ‘more trendy form factor design’, the addition of new sensors beyond heart rate monitoring, and packs with the larger battery capacity.

With the new design and the lowering price of older models, KGI believes that Apple will sell about 22-24 million Apple Watch units in 2018, that's up from 30% year-over-year. It's expected that the fourth-generation of Apple Watch to be released in the fall of this year.

Even through Kuo, as one of the most accurate Apple analyst, he doesn't say whether the overall chassis will grow in proportion. At present, Apple didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on the report. (Via 9to5Mac)

The upcoming Spotify's watchOS app will uses Apple's internal named StreamKit framework that will enable cellular Apple Watch models to receive push notifications from third-party apps such as, Microsoft Outlook, Facebook, and Twitter, greatly reduce reliance from your paired iPhone, on watchOS 5.

More from Apple Watch is that Apple begin to accept the Watch trade-in at an Apple Store in the US, however, it would not be accepting any Edition models. Also, you can trade your Apple Watch at the official website, Apple’s in-store trade-in values are the same as those found online.

Furthermore, trading in your Watch with Apple doesn't means you can't keep your charging cable and bands, as Apple quote values range from $50-$175 depending on which model do you have. Could you trade-in you models in exchange for newer models?

According to RBC Capital Markets analysts Amit Daryanani, who claimed that the upcoming second-generation of iPhone X and iPhone X Plus of starting price will be at $899 and $999 respectively in the United States, while the 6.1-inch LCD model will be priced at $799.

Daryanani predicts that due to the current iPhone X has experienced "limited success" with the cost of $999 and up, therefore, he believes that lowering the base price by $100 could reinvigorate sales of the 5.8-inch model, so the widely rumored 6.5-inch OLED models that dubbed as iPhone X Plus, would then make room for the $999 price point.

That said, the strategy could totally make sense if iPhone X sales have slowed recently, as Apple raises its iPhone pricing, consumers could becoming less willing to spend as much on smartphones. But from the quarter earnings of 2Q 2018, it seems like the iPhone X was the key contributor on the record-breaking revenues.

Both KGI and Bloomberg believed that there will be three iPhones to be unveiled this year, including a successor to the iPhone X, a larger iPhone X model featured with 6.5-inch size of display, a low-priced LCD model that may lack 3D Touch the feature. Share your opinion about these rumors!

According to Japanese site Macotakara who frequently sharing informations gathered from Apple's supply chains has rolled out a report that claims Apple plans to release a new color for the iPhone X in order to restoring sales of the device, and preparing to launch the sixth generation of iPad in the third quarter of 2018.

Even through today's report did not disclose details about what that colors may be or when we might see a release, the article seems follow an earlier claim from the leaker Benjamin Geskin that Apple to launch the Blush Gold iPhone X model, and claimed that the company already started production for it.

Moreover, Macotakara's sources said that Apple is planning a sixth-generation iPad refresh for the third quarter of this year. The upcoming iPad model will reportedly keep the same enclosure and screen size as the current iPad, which suggest that it won't be featured with bezel-less screen.

Apple, however, is s holding its first event of 2018 on Tuesday, March 27 at the Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago, with its focus on the school education. Much rumors indicates that new low-cost iPad to be unveiled in this event, we are also expecting to see AirPower wireless charging mat, AirPods charging case, and new updates to iOS 11, macOS 10.13, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11.

Even though the Apple TV remote works well enough, but sometimes it is not easy to find them, or perhaps detest to having multiple remote controls. If you’re one of those people like me who like to use traditional remotes. Your Apple TV can be actually learn to accept input from your TV, receiver, cable box or other remote control. Here's how!
    1. Go to Settings on the main screen of your Apple TV. then select “Remote and Devices”.
    2. Once you are in the “Remote and Devices” menu select “Learn Remote".
    3. You will see a prompt that tells you to get your remote ducks in a row, Click on "Start"
    4. Just follow the instructions on your Apple TV screen and select buttons on the remote.
    5. After you set up the remote controls, you will need to name the configuration.
    6. When it's done, you can click on "OK", or setup advanced configuration, by selecting Set Up Playback Buttons” option.

However, it should be noted here that there might be a good chance you don’t even needs to program the Apple TV to use an IR remote if you have newer equipment in the house, as the Apple TV supports HDMI-CEC, an over-the-wire control standard baked right into newer HDMI devices. It supports both Bluetooth and traditional infrared remote.

Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo rolled out a report that Apple's new low-cost 9.7-inch iPad may includes Apple Pencil support in order to differentiate the lower-cost iPads from competing low-cost Android tablets. Kuo believes 9.7-inch iPad shipments will account for more than 70 percent of all iPad shipments in 2018.

There's clearly a speculation that the cheaper iPad to support Apple Pencil, as the Spring education event invitation includes an Apple Pencil sketched company logo. For now, 9.7-inch iPad model, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and both versions of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro devices are capable of supporting Apple Pencil.

In the meantime, Apple has just confirmed that it will not be live stream for the March 27 education-focused event set to take place at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, according to Events app on the Apple TV, which says that a video will be uploaded later in the day.

Base on recent rumors, the company likely to release a new cheaper iPad for schools, the tablet could priced as low as $249. Apple is also said to launch new low-cost MacBook that costs below $1000, even through Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said on Friday that the laptops are still in the works.

Other products that might unveil in the event including the AirPower wireless charging mat, AirPods charging case, iPhone X in Blush Gold color, or even an second-generation iPhone SE that brings speed bumps. Software side, the tech-giant will be releasing iOS 11.3, watchOS 4.3, macOS 10.14.3, as well as tvOS 11.3.

According to Bank of America analyst Wamsi Mohan new research note, and obtained by CNBC, says that he had spent a week meeting with Apple's supply chain partners. Mohan predicts that Apple likely to launch the foldable iPhone launch in 2020, with the product could potentially "double up as a tablet.

For sure, a foldable iPhone requires innovation. For instance, if the device can be rolled up like newspapers, then components like the logic board and battery would need to be flexible enough to bend rather than buckle. But if it only folds in half, then components could still be rigid and connected with flex cables.

Samsung and LG, the two South Korean companies are said to be teasing a foldable device for a while now, the latter was being reported that it has reached an agreement to supply Apple with its foldable displays for future iPhones, according to Korean site The Investor.

Considering the timeframe, it would take a long time for it to bear fruit. But technologies can change a lot in two years, who knows. Perhaps this is the product that Apple CEO Tim Cook was talking about during his recent interviews. "We’ve got things that we’re working on now that are way out in the 2020s", says Cook.

Even through U.S. law enforcements ran into some failures when they used the fingers of dead suspects to unlock iPhones, an agency have successfully unlocked the devices, then obtained evidence from it, according to a report who wrote by Forbes on Thursday.

Let's take a time travels to the November of 2016, during the Ohio State University attack, Abdul Razak Ali Artan had mowed down a group of people in his car, soon he was killed by a police officer. FBI tries to unlock his iPhone 5s, the first iPhone that featured with Touch ID, but they were unsuccessfully to unlock the device...

However, data was later retrieved with the help of a forensics lab. The data later helped the authorities determine that Artan's failed attempt to murder innocents may have been a result of ISIS-inspired radicalization. The report did not disclose any of further details as for how they retrieved the data.

Unfortunately for the FBI, Artan's lifeless fingerprint didn't unlock the device (an iPhone 5 model, though Moledor couldn't recall which. Touch ID was introduced in the iPhone 5S). In the hours between his death and the attempt to unlock, when the feds had to go through legal processes regarding access to the smartphone, the iPhone had gone to sleep and when reopened required a passcode, Moledor said. He sent the device to a forensics lab which managed to retrieve information from the iPhone, the FBI phone expert and a Columbus officer who worked the case confirmed.

Bloomberg's sources adds that the practice has since become common to use the fingers of dead bodies to try and unlock iPhones. This is legal for police to use the technique, even if there might be some ethical quandaries to consider. Law enforcements is also attempting to hack iPhone X's Face ID, in fact, a researcher at CloudFlare claims that it didn't need to require the visage of a living person to work.

After reporting that the second-generation of iPhone X will be 10% cheaper manufacturing, Digitimes rolled out yet another article on the upcoming 2018 iPhone lineups, and claimed that Apple is expected to begin trial production of these new models in the second quarter of 2018 at the earliest to avoid supply bottleneck.

Cite supply chain sources, the report adds that Apple's fast-tracking of the trial production will help push ahead the delivery schedules for the 2018 iPhones, meaning it should have a more plentiful supply available for pre-orders. Overall, the supply chain is "generally more optimistic" about order prospects this year.

With Apple reportedly to make 3D sensing a standard for its 2018 series iPhone devices, trial production of the new series is expected to kick off in the second quarter of 2018 at the earliest, as Apple will try to avoid a repeat of the mishap caused by the initial low yield rates on production of 3D sensor modules for those models introduced last year, according to sources from Taiwan-based IC design houses.

Apple is widely believed to debut three new iPhones later this year, an update to the 5.8-inch iPhone X, a larger 6.5-inch device dubbed ‘iPhone X Plus’ and a cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone. All three models are expected to featuring Face ID and no Home button. The 6.1-inch device may lack 3D Touch feature due to the lower price range. The new iPhones are likely to be released in the fall of the year.

Following a report that the newly discovered privacy bug which Siri would allow someone to access hidden message notifications on a locked iPhone, Apple has confirmed it will fix the issue in a upcoming future software update, which might points to iOS 11.3.

The issue appears not only on the third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram or Skype, but also Apple's stock Mail app, where Siri could be happily disclose the content of the messages to someone picks up the locked phone. As the bug works on both iOS 11.2.6, as well as beta of iOS 11.3.

As we stated in the previous article, the best work grounds we can think are to disable the messaging app's content on the Lock screen, or just directly disable Siri on the Lock screen by going to the Settings - Siri & Search, and turn off "Allow Siri When Locked".

According to DigiTimes' research analyst Luke Lin, who claims the new 5.8-inch iPhone will be significantly cheaper to manufacture, that could lead a drop from the $999 price point Apple established with iPhone X, Lin cited information from Apple's upstream supply chain.

The report adds that a cost reduction could see Apple positions the new 5.8-inch device as the cheapest model of all three next-generation iPhone models. It's also believed a project to develop a 5.8-inch LCD iPhone has been suspended since the end of the Lunar New Year holidays in mid-February and maybe eventually terminated.

Furthermore, DigiTimes wrote that the upcoming 5.8-inch iPhone will have a total bill of materials more than 10% lower than the iPhone X had when it first launched. The media located in Taiwan believed that the iPhone X BOM was estimated around $400.

Lin cited information from Apple's upstream supply chain as indicating that the new device's MBOM [manufacturing bill of materials] will be more than 10% lower than that for iPhone X. He added that the MBOM of the iPhone X was more than US$400 in 2017.

In addition to the second-generation of the iPhone X, Apple is also reportedly planning to introduce a new, more affordable 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD display. The company also in the work for a larger iPhone X models, which will be as large as 6.5-inches. All of three iPhones are expected to be launched in fall of this year.

According to Brazilian site Mac Magazine, one of their reader whose name is Danilo Finardi reports that he had discovered a new privacy bug which Siri could allow someone to access hidden message notifications on a locked iPhone.

In iOS 11, you can hide message notifications on the Lock screen, you'll see that a message has arrived, but its content is hidden. That setting is on by default on the iPhone X, where simply glancing at it will unlock the phone and allow the content to be displayed, it can be also set on other models. And that's where it get complicated, because Siri will read them out, even there are hidden.

The only exception is Apple’s own Messages app, where Siri reads them only if the phone is unlocked. Still, for other messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Skype, Siri could be happily disclose the content of the messages to someone picks up the locked phone. As the bug works on both iOS 11.2.6, as well as beta of iOS 11.3.

As of now, the best work grounds we can think of is to disable the messaging app's content on the Lock screen, or just directly disable Siri on the Lock screen by going to the Settings - Siri & Search, and turn off "Allow Siri When Locked".

Although Early tvOS 11.3 updates introduced support for AirPlay 2, a feature that enables multiple Apple TVs in separate rooms to play the same song. However, it was removed in tvOS 11.3 beta 3. So we are not clear when Apple will add that functionality again.

The tvOS 11 beta including other features like fourth-generation of Apple TV now supports frame rate matching, previously required Apple TV 4K, improved Match Content, as well as a mew Privacy explainer at launch.

We expected all the upcoming updates will be released in next week, when Apple hosts an educational event at Chicago. We will be happy to see your comment if new features have discovered from the update.

Apple appears to be speeding up on its mysterious self-driving car technology testings over the past two months, reports Financial Times, as the publication includes new data on how many self-driving cars Apple may be testing in California.

According to the figures provided by the California Department of Motor Vehicles, FC says that Apple now has permits for 45 autonomous vehicles, up from 27 in January of the year. It's worth to noted that the permits count topped Tesla’s 39 and Uber’s 29 permits.

It's believed that Apple is ranked second place in terms of testing fleet, still is way behind General Motors subsidiary Cruise Automation, which owns 110 cars. Apple's rival in tech -- Google is testing 24 cars in the state, down from more than 100 last June, the report adds.

Even through Apple hasn’t announced any specific plans that associated with all of its self driving car testing, CEO Tim Cook said that "We're focusing on autonomous systems." It's a core technology that we view as very important. We sort of see it as the mother of all AI projects. It's probably one of the most difficult AI projects actually to work on," says Cook.

Apple has seeded sixth developer beta of macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 sixth developer beta. The new developer beta comes a week after the release of fifth developer beta. It can be downloaded from the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store once an user have signed up in the Apple Developer center with the proper profile installed.

According to Apple's release notes, macOS 10.13.4 will begin warning users if they open up a 32-bit app in preparation for phasing out 32-bit apps on the Mac. The forthcoming macOS update also introduced the new "Ink Cloud" wallpaper that was previously only available on the iMac Pro.

Other features are including Messages on iCloud which uploads all of your iMessages to the iCloud, a Business Chat functionality, a new way for field customer support sessions, and it includes improved support for eGPUs, as well as a new Privacy explainer.

And the updates like iOS 11.3, macOS 10.14.3, watchOS 4.3, and tvOS 11.3 are likely to be released at March the 27th of the next week, where Apple will host a educational event in Chicago, the company expects to launch a cheaper iPad, AirPower, or more.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is “designing and producing its own device displays,” which is a first for the company. The manufacturing facility which is said to be located at a secret place in California, and is near the headquarters.

More Specifically, Mark Gurman says that Apple has made “a significant investment” in the development of MicroLED displays. And These screens use newer light-emitting compounds that make them brighter, thinner, and less power-intense than the current OLED displays.

This initiative is said to be code-named T159 and headed by Lynn Youngs, who worked on the displays for the original iPhone and iPad and is currently working on the Apple Watch screen technology. Apple’s Micro-LEDs are in the “advanced stage”, which means it could take up 2 years to first appearing on its Watch products.

At the same time, the California facility is said to be too small for major production, but Apple will likely outsource mass-production to its supply partners in Asia. Moreover, the report says there are about 300 engineers are designing and producing MicroLED screens for use in future products.

The 62,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, the first of its kind for Apple, is located on an otherwise unremarkable street in Santa Clara, California, a 15-minute drive from the Apple Park campus in Cupertino and near a few other unmarked Apple offices.

There, about 300 engineers are designing and producing MicroLED screens for use in future products. The facility also has a special area for the intricate process of “growing” LEDs.

Screen manufacturers such as Samsung, Sharp, LG, and Japan Display, which all of them provides the screen panels for Apple devices will be lose the iPhone maker's huge orders. What's your thoughts on the matter, would you want to Apple to made the screen its own or order from other companies?

According to the famous leaker Ben Geskin who has tweeted that Apple is still planning to release the iPhone X in a so-called Blush Gold color, and says that the devices currently is "in production," with a codename of D21A. Here is what will be look like...

Geskin added that the "color is real" and said Apple just "saved it for later," but later says that "stuff can be canceled." However, it certainly possible that they will prop up the final quarters of sales with the introduction of a new chassis color. For instance, Apple did this last year with the debut of a limited edition PRODUCT(RED) iPhone 7 in the spring.

Back in September of last year, KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple may be encountering some production issues with the gold iPhone X, which could explains why Space Gray and Silver will be the only colors at launch. But he did predicted that the gold iPhone X would be available in "extremely low volume" or go on sale at a later date.

Perhaps the supply chain already solved the production problem, plus that since Apple has announced a March 27 event, so maybe the new color is announced then, even through the event will be heavily focused on "creative new ideas for teachers and students".

Apple has announced that they will release a new generation of AirPods that would include a case capable of wireless charging back in iPhone X event last year. However, few rumors have suggested this product will likely to be unveiled on March the 27th in Chicago.

But if you don't want to spend too much on a wireless charging case, how about trying an accessory called PowerPod Case that only for 20 bucks (early bird price). The silicone case holds the AirPod case, which in turn holds your AirPods. Your AirPod case is protected by silicone, at the same time it can charge wirelessly.

It uses common wireless charging standards. There is a simple copper coil installed in the back of the case that transfers energy from any charging pad to your AirPod Case. A flush lighting cable fixed at the bottom of the silicon which makes it easily slide in and connect your AirPod Case. Plus the case also contains environmental benefits.

As stated in the above, the early bird price is $20, that is undoubtedly less than you’ll pay Apple for the same wireless charging privilege. The accessory will begin to ship at the end of July with a retail price of $40, so I could say it will save some money for you in the long run. By the way, throwing a $20 to a student, after all, isn't a poor idea.

I don't know about you, but for me, I oftens forgot to empty the dump items into the Trash on a regular basis on my Mac. Sure enough, valuable storage space can be wasted as it just sits there and does nothing productive. Thankfully, macOS systems include a feature which allow the trash to automatically empty itself after 30 days. Here is how to enable it.
    1. Go to the Finder and Choose “Preferences” in the menu bar.
    2. Go to the “Advanced” tab and check for “Remove items from the Trash after 30 days”
    3. And that's it!

So sample isn't it? But you should know that the feature will only supports on macOS Sierra 10.12 or newer, earlier versions of Mac OS do not have the ability to automatically remove items from the trash can. And of course, you can still manually empty the trash as well.

What if some files that are locked and you can not erase with it? Firstly, press and hold the mouse button on the Trash icon in the Dock, click and hold on the "Option" key, and select Empty Trash from the context menu for Trash, then release the key. Any questions?

The invitation contains no details of either the content or format of the event. According to the Japanese blog Macotakara that has shared a video featuring a device that appears to be an iPhone SE device with iPhone X-style design. Based on the current rumors so far, this is certainly fake, because it lacks an Apple logo on the back.

From the video, which looks like that the smartphone has a notch at the front, an edge-to-edge display, and a vertical rear camera in a body that is similar to the current iPhone SE, is very likely an Android clone device. Fake devices like these can often be found in China, and that's where the video originated.

While is not possible that Apple to release iPhone SE models two years after it introduced, but none of those rumors have indicated the device will take on iPhone X design elements. KGI's Ming-Chi Kuo, for example, said that if there's an SE model is in the work, the design won't likely to be changed, with maybe bring some speed bumps, and that's about it.

Rumors for iPhone SE 2 first seen by us was in the summer of 2017, when the report said a new model would come this year with an A10 chip.
