Apple's upcoming 2018 iPhone models which included a 6.1-inch LCD version that could price between $700-$800. Now, a BusinessKorea report (Via Patently Apple) sheds more light on the low-priced iPhone.
According to the report, the 6.1-inch model may use the same MLCD+ display technology as LG's new G7 ThinQ smartphone. Compared to traditional LCD screen's red, blue, and green three sub-pixel, MLCD+ screens have a fourth white sub-pixel that allows for increased brightness. Another benefit is that it consumes less power.
The 6.1-inch iPhone will essentially be a lower-priced iPhone X, because the fact of lack an OLED display. Based on this report. Still, it appears like the device could still have a better display than the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. It would eventually led to a super cycle if Apple plans to do so.

According to the smartphone industry on May 9, Apple is expected to load its next 6.1-inch iPhone model with an MLCD+ display which LG used in its G7 ThinQ smartphone. The MLCD+ display realizes a bright screen with less power consumption than the IPS LCD display.
LG named the display of the G7 ThinQ “Super Bright Display.” Its color reproduction rate is 100% on the DCI-P3 basis which expresses delicate colors close to nature even on bright screens. At the same brightness, the G7 ThinQ consumes 30% less power compared to the previous G6 model loaded with an LCD display.
