First Benchmark Of MacBook Pro With Vega Graphic Reveals A Steady Increase In Graphics Performance

Apple added the optional Radeon Pro Vega graphics choice to the 15-inch MacBook Pro last week, so when purchasing a MacBook Pro, users would able to choose to upgrade their Radeon Pro Vega 16 or 20 graphics card. The 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with a Radeon Pro Vega 20 graphics card will cost you a $350, whereas the Radeon Pro Vega 16 graphics card costs $250.



Today, the Geekbench score of the MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro Vega 20 graphics card has surfaced. Previously, the MacBook Pro was available in Radeon Pro 560X graphics card. However, this MacBook Pro is configured with a 2.6GHz Core i7 Intel processor, Radeon Pro Vega 20 graphics card, 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, received a final OpenCL score of 72,799, roughly a 25 % increase in graphics improvements.

In addition, there are several other MacBook Pro with Radeon Pro Vega graphics card also appeared in the Geekbench database, which scored 75,817, 76,017, and 80,002, respectively. Moreover, the Radeon Pro Vega graphics card earned a Metal score of 73,953, over 13% increase in performance. Yet, Geekbench didn't reveal the Radeon Pro Vega 16 graphics card benchmarks.
