Apple Said To Launch Three OLED iPhones At New Sizes In 2020

According to DigiTimes, news from the Taiwan supply chain said that Apple will make adjustments to the size of the iPhone display again next year, and will abandon the LCD screen. However, the report suggests that iPhones released this year unlikely to see any changes in screen technologies and sizes, it will still include the 5.8-inch OLED, 6.5-inch OLED, and the 6.1-inch LCD version.

Then in 2020, Apple may extend the iPhone screen size to 5.42, 6.06, 6.67 inches and all three with an OLED display. While the smallest one could use Samsung or LG's advanced touchscreen tech to make the display of the phone thinner than on previous handsets, and keep the cost down as possible.
Apple reportedly plans to launch three OLED-based new iPhone devices in 2020 available in 5.42-, 6.06- and 6.67-inch sizes, respectively, according to sources from Taiwan's handset component supply chain. Additionally, the 5.42-inch model to be released in 2020 may come with either Samsung Display's Y-Octa or LG Display's TOE touch technology, indicated the sources, noting that both touch solutions promises to trim down the display cost.
In total, the source believes that Apple will likely to ship between 80 and 82 million iPhones in the first half of this year and around 180-190 million units for all of this year.
