Apple Releases First Public Beta Of iOS 13 And macOS Catalina 10.15

Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 13 and macOS Catalina 10.15 today, let common users test out the system before it will be launched this fall. You can download the public beta profile file by clicking https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ to join Apple Beta Software Program, and then update your devices to iOS 13 and or iPadOS through Settings -> General -> Software Update.



iOS 13 introduces a new system-wide Dark Mode; overhauled Photos app that includes a new tab that curates your entire Photos library and the ability to edit video, such as cropping, rotating, applying filters; a redesigned and less destructive Volume HUD; a "Simple with Apple" feature that offers a simple and safe way to sign in to apps and websites, Siri now has a new voice, and more!

iPadOS, on the other hand, bring several new features to the table, such as a new home screen layout, smaller icons, new Files app with the ability of reading and write mobile hard drives and USB. It also includes the desktop version of Safari, support for macOS secondary screen, in which Apple calls it "Sidecar"

Aside from iOS 13 and iPadOS, Apple also released the first public beta version of macOS Catalina 10.15, if you have signed up for Apple Beta Software Program already, you can download the macOS Catalina beta via the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.

Designed for Mac, the macOS 10.15 Catalina adds three new apps: Music, Podcasts, and TV apps, as Apple finally eliminated the iTunes app. Screen Time is now available on the Mac to monitor the time you spent on the Mac, and the new initiative Project Catalyst will saw many iPad apps coming to the Mac, with Apple plans to use the framework to add improvements to apps like News, Stock, etc.
