Apple Renews "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" For The Upcoming Third Season

Apple just renewed "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" for a third season, the company's second original TV shows after "Planet of the Apps," according to the announcement made by "The Late Late Show with James Corden's" official YouTube channel, from which "Carpool Karaoke" was spun off.


For those who aren't familiar with the show, it pairs up celebrities, musicians, athletes, and puts them together in a car to sing popular songs. Season 1 first debuted on Apple Music in August of 2017 and then in October of 2018, Apple renewed the second season. Meanwhile, there is release date for Season 3, but it will feature stars Snoop Dogg, Kendall Jenner, the cast from "Stranger Things." and more.

The guests featured in the first season were Will Smith, Metallica, and Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams stars of the "Game of Thrones." Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith; John Legend, together with Taraji P. Henson, Alicia Keys; and LeBron James & James Corden. Season 2 invited stars such as Jason Sudeikis and the Muppets Andy Samberg, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, Captain Marvel Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson, etc.

Developed by Apple, the Cupertino company seek it as a way to promote its upcoming TV streaming service Apple TV+. The series is free and available to anyone who has the Apple TV app.
