At today's special event, Apple announced iPhone 11, the successor to the iPhone XR that it released last year. However, although it packed with more stuff than the XR model, Apple's newest budget-friendly smartphone will start at just $699 instead of $749.
Like iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, the iPhone 11 camera has undergone a major upgrade, which now includes a dual-lens camera setup that consists of a 12-megapixel telephoto lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. In addition, the iPhone 11 also supports night-time photo mode, which enables users to take better photos in low-light conditions, similar to Google Pixel smartphones' Night Sight feature.
The iPhone 11 also comes with the new A13 biochip, which Apple says is the fastest CPU and GPU ever in a smartphone. The performance beast also gets a new matrix multiplication feature, suitable for machine learning tasks, with Apple claims it as ‘the best machine learning platform in any smartphone’, as it's capable of performing over 1 trillion operations per second, plus Face ID is now 30% faster.

iPhone 11 will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models in purple, green, yellow, black, white and PRODUCT(RED) starting at $699 (US). Customers can also get iPhone 11 for $16.62 a month or $399 with trade-in from apple.com, in the Apple Store app and Apple Stores. Pre-order for the iPhone 11 start at 5:00 A.M. PDT on September 13.
