New Rumors Claim Apple Will Launch A Notchless iPhone In 2020

While there are hardly any design changes have made to iPhone 11 and 11 Pro models, but rumors have suggested that a design do-over could arrive with the iPhones released in 2020. Ben Geskin, the Twitter leaker and concept artist claims that Apple is set to launch an iPhone in 2020 with a 6.7-inch screen and no notch, with the TrueDepth Face ID sensors, would house in the thin bezel above the display.

As shown in the picture above, which reveals that the various components that are usually placed in the notched area would instead locate in the thin bezel, including infrared cameras, floodlights, point projectors, proximity sensors, ambient light sensors, speakers, microphones and the front-facing camera.

Geskin's claims in line with predictions made by noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who believes that 2020 iPhone lineups will include a 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch model. At the same time, Kuo also mentioned that the iPhone will adopt a new design in 2020. Earlier this week, the analyst predicted that the 5G iPhone will adopt a new metal frame design in 2020 for better 5G connectivity.

Apple has previously implemented a similar " no notch" design on the iPad Pro. However, the reason why it can be achieved is that the iPad Pro has a wide frame, and the width of the TrueDepth camera and the like is exactly the same as that of the iPad Pro, which may be a hint that iPhone in 2020 could adopt a new metal frame design for the 2020 iPhones.

In some people's minds, including me, a notch-less iPhone is the perfect form. If Apple launches an iPhone with this type of design next year, it will certainly please many consumers. Perhaps Apple will once again lead the industry trend.
