Apple TV App Now Available On Select Amazon Fire TV And Roku Devices

Amazon today announced that select Fire TV Sticks now offers the Apple TV app, at the same time, its competitor Roku also started rolling out support for the Apple TV app earlier this month.
Starting today, Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K customers all around the world can download and begin using the all-new Apple TV app. Inside the Apple TV app, you’ll have access to your entire iTunes library, including all of TV shows and movies that you’ve already purchased or rented from Apple, and soon Apple TV+.
Users can now download the app through the Amazon Appstore, once it's downloaded, they can open the app by simply say, “Alexa, open the Apple TV app.” Currently, the Apple TV app on Fire TV is available in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, India, and the United Kingdom, as the app is also available for Fire TV Basic Edition users in over 50 countries.

In the future, Amazon claims that the app will be coming to Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV (3rd Gen pendant design), Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Nebula sound bar. It's worth to note, however, the Apple TV app is not compatible with Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick (1st Gen).

As for Roku users, you can download the app from the Roku Channel Store on smart TVs that either have Roku preinstalled or have a Roku dongle connected, and like Fire TV, some older Roku models are not supported. The app is available in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Apple TV+, Apple's video streaming service that is set to launch on November 1st, will be accessible within the Apple TV app. Users can subscribe to Apple TV+ right in the Apple TV app on their devices for $4.99 per month with a seven-day free trial.
