The Consumer Reports magazine recently put iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max into tests to see how they will perform in the world of smartphones, and give them rankings. Well, the results are now in, and guess what? iPhone 11 Pro Max atop the ratings as being the best smartphone to purchase today.
The Consumer Reports praised the improved battery life of the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max. In the test, the iPhone 11 Pro Max was able to last for 40.5 hours, which is a huge improvement compared to the iPhone XS Max's 29.5 hours. At the same time, the iPhone 11 Pro kept in running for 34 hours, while the iPhone 11 gets a battery life of only 27.5 hours.
In the test, Consumer Reports uses an automatically programmed mechanical finger to complete a series of tasks to simulate the average consumer's daily use of the smartphones, including browsing the Internet, take photos, use GPS for Navigation, and, of course, place a phone call.
In terms of camera quality, the Consumer Reports did not go into detail in the rankings, only to indicate that these devices received the "highest score" in the photography category. In terms of the image quality of the rear camera, the three iPhone models all received a "very good" rating, which kept them in line with the competition.
The enhanced durability of the iPhone 11 series is also well received. All three phones passed the water resistance test, and the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max passed the durability test of 100 drops. Unfortunately, both iPhone 11 Pro samples were damaged in the drop test.
In the end, the Consumer Reports gave the iPhone 11 Pro Max a total of 95 points, followed by the iPhone 11 Pro's 92 points. Meanwhile, the iPhone 11 fails to make to top 5 with a total score of 89 points and is ranked eighth overall.
