Apple began selling officially certified refurbished third-generation iPad Air and fifth-generation iPad mini in the United States today. The refurbished iPad Air 3 and iPad mini 5 are available in multiple versions, with Wi-Fi or LTE, 64GB to 256GB of storage, and a 15% discount on the price compared to the new models on Apple.com.
Apple says the certified refurbished iPad has been inspected, tested, cleaned and repackaged thoroughly. The pack contains all necessary accessories and documents. Every refurbished iPad will be replaced by a new battery and case, making it almost indistinguishable from the new iPad. Each refurbished iPad is covered by the standard one-year warranty, effective from the date the tablet is purchased.
Released in March of 2019, both the iPad Air 3 and iPad mini 3 features the A12 Bionic processor, with the iPad Air featuring a 10.5-inch retina display with True Tone display technology, 264 ppi 2224 x 1668 resolution, and support for Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. While the new iPad mini also include Apple Pencil support, it has a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 resolution, 326 ppi retina display with True Tone display technology.
