Apple Allegedly Resumes AirPower Research And Development

According to Tech YouTuber Jon Prosser, Apple recently resumed AirPower research and development after announcing the cancellation of the wireless charging pad. It is not clear whether this product will finally be released.

Prosser said that Apple engineers are trying to re-engineer the charging coil to improve the cooling efficiency and have already developed prototype devices. When cancelling AirPower, Apple stated that this product did not meet the company's standards, namely overheating and interference problems.
AirPower isn’t dead 👀

The project is back on, internally. No guarantee that they’ll finalize and release it, but they haven’t given up yet and they’re trying to re-engineer the coils to displace heat more effectively. Prototyping is underway.
AirPower was designed to able to charge iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods at the same time, and user can place their devices randomly and not having follow specific orders, meanwhile, the battery levels of all charging devices will be displayed on the iPhone Lock Screen.

Apple first announced AirPower in September 2017, where it announced the iPhone X. Apple said at the time that AirPower would be released by the end of 2018, however, about a year ago, the iPhone maker announced that AirPower had been cancelled.
