Apple announced the new iPad Pro, featuring the A12Z bionic chip, which is officially said to be faster and more powerful than most Windows PC laptops, as well as a dual-lens rear camera system with the addition of LiDAR Scanner for better AR capabilities, and perhaps more notably, for the time, Apple is bringing Magic Keyboard to the iPad Pro, features a floating design, Backlit Keyboard and Trackpad.
The 2020 iPad Pro has no major improvements in overall design compared to the 2018 model, and the screen size is also the same, 11-inch and 12.9-inch, and continue comes in two colors of Silver and Space Gray.
However, on the rear panel, there is a dual-lens camera system, One is a wide-angle standard lens with a 12-megapixel, f/1.8 maximum aperture, and the other is an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 10-megapixel, f/2.4 maximum aperture. Both lenses support 4K @ 60fps video recording. There is a new optical radar (LiDAR) sensor that is added to the new iPad Pro to collect depth-sensing info and provide relevant data for ARKit and other apps.
Today, Apple also introduced a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, which features a floating design with smooth angle adjustment, support for Backlight, and a Trackpad, which will go on sale in May.
With iPadOS 13.4, Apple added Trackpad support for the iPad, giving consumers a new way to interact with the iPad. It does not duplicate the macOS experience, but completely overhauled Trackpad support for the iPad. When the user moves their finger on the Trackpad, the pointer transforms elegantly to highlight user interface elements. Multi-touch gestures on the Trackpad make the operation of the entire system fast and simple, and users don't even need to raise their hands. iPadOS 13.4 with Trackpad support will be available on March 24
Pricing wise, the 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $799 for the Wi-Fi model and $949 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, and the 12.9-inch starts at $999 for the Wi-Fi model and $1,149 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. As for the Magic Keyboard, it will be available for purchase in May for $299 for the 11-inch iPad Pro and $349. for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
