Apple Announces It Has Donated 10 Million Of Face Masks To Health Professionals

Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced on Twitter that Apple is donating 10 million of masks to health professionals in the United States and millions more to region in Europe to fight COVID-19 outbreak:

Proud to share we’ve been able to source 10M masks for the US and millions more for the hardest hit regions in Europe. Our ops teams are helping to find and purchase masks from our supply chain in coordination with governments around the world.
Meanwhile, Apple has announced that they plans to resume Apple Store operations in early April, but Apple Stores will not open for business all at once, areas with severe pandemics will continue to close, and areas with improved epidemics will gradually recover.

On the 14th of March, Apple closed all Apple Stores outside of China, when it claimed that the Apple Store would resume business on March 27. Subsequently, the iPhone maker extended the closure time again, saying that the specific recovery time is uncertain.

There are now 64,675 novel coronavirus cases in the US along and have thus far caused 910 fatalities. In Europe, the hardest hit regions, Italy and Spain, sees no slowing down in number of the COVID-19 cases, with Italy is nearing surpass the confirmed cases in China.
