Apple's High-End Headphones Allegedly To Be Called 'AirPods Studio'

Apple’s high-end headphones will be called AirPods Studio,  according to leaker Jon Prosser, who says that it will start at $349, close to the price of noise-canceling headphones from companies like Bose and Sony.

It’s conceivable that Apple uses its successful AirPods brand for the premium over-the-ear headphones, which helps to differentiate the headphones from existing Beats products.

Bloomberg recently reported that Apple's new headphones will be available in two versions, including the premium version made of leather. The prototype of the headphones is described as having a "retro-style" design, with earmuffs that rotate with the headband with metal arms attached. Another version is for fitness, using lighter, breathable material with small holes to improve airflow.

Reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo once stated that Apple’s high-end headphones will have active noise-canceling, designed to reduce external noise, typically by generating a sound wave that cancels it out, and users can focus on what they are listening to. If it is similar to ANC on AirPods Pro, there will be a Transparent Mode that will enable noise canceling, but ambient sound can be collected.

Of course, since it is a high-end product, we would expect its sound quality to be better than AirPods.

Initial reports suggest that the headphones would be launched sometime in 2020. Mass production of headphones is scheduled to begin in mid-2020, which could mean that it will be available in the fall of 2020.
