September 15 Apple Event Announced, Streaming Online From Apple Park

Today Apple announced that they will be holding a special event for their upcoming iPhone 12 models next Tuesday on September 15. This will be the second online event Apple is doing for this year, as the coronavirus outbreak is still going on and public gatherings of above 10 people are still banned in California. The event will be live-streamed on 10 AM PDT on September 15th, 2020 from the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.

As the details of the event are taking place at the same location as WWDC 2020, all of the videos that will be streamed next Tuesday will be prerecorded. The event will include an empty Steve Jobs Theater with only the Apple executives in the venue, which they will announce new iPhones and Apple Watch models. The next iPhone models will support 5G, A14 chips, a LiDAR scanner and come in screen sizes of 5.4”, 6.1” and 6.7”. The Apple Watch Series 6 will come with increased capabilities to monitor more health metrics such as blood oxygen saturation and many more.

As the last earnings call from Apple stated that iPhone production could be delayed due to COVID-19, it is still unlikely that the next iPhones and Apple Watch models will be available publicly until October. The event webpage also has a hidden feature where you can see a 3D animation of the invitation art by clicking on the Apple logo art in the invitation webpage. The animation shows the Apple logo that transforms into the event date, which is just a week away. This year is a different year for Apple Events, and the company at least made their keynote addresses much better than announcing products traditionally at the theatre.
