Apple Event on October 13 Will Feature 2 Software Releases, iPhone 12 Models and Other Products

The hype of the release of the new Apple Watch Series 6 and SE, including the 2 iPads, has subsided. But the iPhone 12 models are still missing from the event, centrally due to the coronavirus impact in the production factories. The iPad Air 5th generation with the same size as the 11-inch iPad Pro, is going to be released around this time. There are also a few smaller Apple products and a possibility of Apple Silicon Macs slated for the upcoming event. These products are going to be unveiled at the event next Tuesday, without a physical audience insight.

To start with, Apple’s October 13th event will be held virtually with prerecorded video of Apple Park and the unveiling of the upcoming iPhones, HomePods, AirTags, and Macs from Apple executives at 10 am, Tuesday, October 13. The event will be held all digitally for the third time, after the WWDC 2020 keynote and last month’s September 15th event due to the state government’s restrictions on mass gatherings.

Coincidentally, the event invitation graphic depicts a few orange circles situated on a yellow Apple logo, on a subtle midnight blue wallpaper. These are the cornerstones that depict the next generation HomePod on the outermost circle, a HomePod mini in the middle, and the innermost circle of AirTags. The event invitation is named “Hello, Speed” in the email sent to the public, signifying the new 5G chips in the next iPhone 12 and the Apple Silicon chips on the Macs.

Eventually, the event may be the time for the Apple Fitness+ subscription service, macOS Big Sur, and the iPad Air 5th generation’s release dates to be announced. The iPad Air is not available for preorders right now, but everyone can start preordering these devices once the event finalizes. Apple Fitness+ has its projected release date for later this year, with reopening public gyms still in the minds of state and county officials. Additionally, macOS Big Sur has the same tentative date for its public release, which can be after the special event. All of these predictions are being equal based upon the release dates of macOS Catalina, TV+, and News+ last year including that the iPhones will release by the last week of October as with the iPhone XR in a similar period in 2018.

To sum it up, these are all of the key details of next Tuesday’s Apple Special Event. Once again, the iPhone 12 models, two HomePod models, AirTags, Apple Fitness+, and macOS Big Sur will be announced at the event. The event will be live on the Apple website at 10 am PDT on October 13, 2020.
