Apple Pay Now Available In 10,000 7-Eleven Stores In The U.S., Would Germany Be The Next To Support It?

Convenience store 7-Eleven announced today that its more than 10,000 stores in the U.S. will begin accepting payments from Apple Pay and Google Pay. Drugstore CVS is also expecting to support Apple's mobile payment service this fall.

Rollout work has begun in August and will continue until the end of September to achieve "most U.S. store" to fully support it. 7-Eleven's executive Gurmeet Singh said in a statement that: "the ability to pay with their smart device gives consumers one more reason to shop at 7-Eleven."

Cook first announced in July this year that Apple Pay will come to the 7-Eleven convenience stores in the United States, and it seems that it should be able to catch up with the new iPhones launch time. You can use iPhone 6 or later devices and Apple Watch models in order to complete the Apple Pay process.

Meanwhile, Apple CEO Tim Cook while announced Apple Pay to come to 7-Eleven stores, he also confirms that the payment system will come to Germany so I would expect it would soon be available in the country, as they already working to set deals over fees and other factors with German banks.
