Apple teamed up with Amazon to sell Apple products such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch on the Amazon.com website in countries like the USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, as well as India, according to a report by CNET. An Amazon spokesperson said that the deal is designed to improve the user experience:
For now, all Apple products lists on Amazon from independent sellers, by the time when Amazon begin selling Apple products, all third-party retailers needs to become Apple authorized resellers, in which they need to apply for it. And they will have to make sure to go on sale at regular prices.
Amazon is constantly working to enhance the customer experience, and one of the ways we do this is by increasing selection of the products we know customers want. We look forward to expanding our assortment of Apple and Beats products globallyThe partnership will take into effect rather sooner than later so Amazon will sell newly-released products to the customers, products including iPhone XS, XR, Apple Watch Series 4, the 2018 Mac mini model, and a selection of Beats headphones. It’s understood that these products will be available on Apple-authorized Amazon resellers.
