The Siri Shortcuts have enabled a lot of possibilities of what we can do on iOS. Yes, we realize that Apple doesn't offer a way to schedule text messages, however, you can now schedule text messages thanks to the Siri Shortcuts so you will be able to draft text message in advance and schedule it to be sent out on a later date. Here is how to do add it to your iOS 12 devices:

  1. Download the Shortcuts by clicking this link
  2. Whenever you want to schedule a text, just tap on it
  3. Select someone in your Contacts
  4. In the Enter Text filed, enter the message you want to schedule
  5. Then select Date and Time to when should this be sent
  6. And that's it
Here are a couple of things to bear in mind though: first, you need to turn on the Background App Refresh in order for this to work; further, you can't run any other Shortcuts during the time, lastly, you can't close the app; otherwise, there is no restriction whatsoever. Hopefully, this Shortcuts would come in handy when you are busy doing other stuff.
