DigiTimes: 'AirPods Pro Lite' Is Coming As Well As iPhone 9

According to the DigiTimes report, Apple is working with Taiwan's supply chain partners to develop some new products, including the so-called AirPods Pro Lite wireless headphones.

However, the report only mentions the name "AirPods Pro Lite", so no further details were shared whatsoever. Last October, Apple released AirPods Pro, even eariler, Apple launched the second-generation AirPods in March of 2019. Lite suggests the AirPods models might not cost as much as the AirPods Pro, but it will include fewer features, for example, no ANC support.

In a separate report, DigiTimes said  that Apple suppliers are gearing up production for the upcoming low-cost iPhone 9. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese publication believes that due to the coronavirus outbreak, Apple has stopped sending engineers to China to assist with the Engineering Validation Test or EVT stage of iPhone 12 development, suggesting iPhone 12 production may not its schedule.

Judging from the current situation, the virus is not likely to go away soon as the WHO declares this epidemic to be the greatest threat to humanity right now, with death tolls top 1,113 around the world and 44,653 confirmed cases as of writing. Nevertheless, there is a huge chance that Apple would not delay the release of iPhone 12, given that there's no guarantee that the virus will last that long.
