Apple Maps Soon To Display COVID-19 Testing Locations

Apple has launched an online portal that would allow healthcare providers, labs, or other businesses to be registered as a COVID-19 testing location so Apple Maps may soon display testing sites directly on the map.

Once a testing location gets approved, it will be showing up on Apple Maps. And in order to submit the COVID-19 testing location, health institutions are asked to download and open the CSV template, then fill in the testing location information, and email the file to Apple.

When a testing location has added, users will see a red medical glyph icon that tells them that this is a COVID-19 testing site.

Apple's public response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been quite encouraging. It was announced yesterday that the iPhone maker is partnering with Google to enable the use of Bluetooth technology on iPhones and Android smartphones to help governments and health agencies reduce the spread of the virus.

Tim Cook, Apple's public icon during the Coronavirus outbreak, has continued to provide new videos to highlight Apple's effort to donate medical equipment to Twitter. Cook said that the teams are working with suppliers to design, manufacture and transport face masks for medical personnel.
