Apple To Reopen Its Retail Stores In The US Starting Next Week

Apple is planning to reopen its retail stores in the United States next week, according to a CNBC report.

In a statement, the company says it will begin the reopening process with some stores in Idaho, South Carolina, Alabama, and Alaska. At the same time, Apple is constantly monitoring local health data and government guidance, and determine from there whether or not to open the stores.

Once a store is safe to reopen, Apple will have safety procedures in place, including temperature checks, social distancing, and face coverings to ensure customers and employees continue to stay healthy. This, as a result, allows for a limited number of visitors in the store at one time so there may be a delay for walk-in customers. Therefore, it's recommended that customers buy online for contactless delivery or in-store pickup.
We’re excited to begin reopening stores in the US next week, starting with some stores in Idaho, South Carolina, Alabama and Alaska. Our team is constantly monitoring local heath data and government guidance, and as soon as we can safely open our stores, we will.

We’ve missed our customers and look forward to offering our support. With many working and learning from home, our primary focus will be providing service and support at the Genius Bar. We’ll open initially with additional safety procedures including temperature checks, social distancing and face coverings to ensure customers and employees continue to stay healthy. Our new social distance protocol allows for a limited number of visitors in the store at one time so there may be a delay for walk-in customers. We recommend, where possible, customers buy online for contactless delivery or in-store pick up.
Yesterday, Apple reopened its 21 Australia Apple Stores for customers and has announced that stores in Germany to begin reopening May 11.

For those places that still in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple has launched a new hub for its online store to streamline shopping from home. The website offers direct links and more information about services like Apple Card and Financing, Apple Trade-In, Apple Support, and Today at Apple.
