Today is the ninth anniversary of the death of former Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs. 9 years ago today, Jobs passed away of pancreatic cancer at the age of 56. Prior to this day, Apple executives debuted the iPhone 4s at a media event at the company's Infinite Loop headquarters campus.
Today, Apple CEO Tim Cook posted on Twitter to commemorate his mentor and friend.

He is an inventor, co-founder of Apple, the chairman and majority shareholder of Pixar, a member of The Walt Disney Company's board of directors following its acquisition of Pixar, as well as the founder and CEO of NeXT.
Along with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Jobs is widely considered as the pioneer of the personal computer revolution in the 1970s and 1980s.
