Upcoming iPhone 8's Touch ID Maybe Integrated On The Lengthened Sleep/Wake Button, Here's Reasons!

For the upcoming of iPhone 8, consumers are most concerned about this device is Touch ID will be replaced by Face ID or remains unchanged. Users are still very worried about the use of the scene will be limited, feels Touch ID may be more reliable than Face ID.

Yesterday, iOS developer Guilherme Rambo in iOS 11 beta 6 firmware code found that a reference may prove that the iPhone 8 Touch ID will be placed on the side of the extended sleep/wake button.

Rambo figured out why D22 device (iPhone 8 codename) will use a different way of activating SOS, by holding volume + and lock button. His best guess the Touch ID may be on the iPhone 8's power button, since some rumors have suggested the flagship iPhone possibly have a lengthened sleep/wake button.

If the Touch ID on the Lock button, then the operation should be similar to the operation of the physical Home button's Touch ID, press the lock button will unlock the iPhone directly. Obviously, this conflicts with the SOS emergency contact feature. For example, if the user encounters a situation that you want to use SOS feature, rapidly click the lock button may easily lead to unlock the iPhone, so Apple will consider press lock button and volume + button to use the SOS feature.

Rambo also found some evidence that the new iPhone's Touch ID type is completely different. And iPhone 10,1/10,4 or on behalf of iPhone 7s, iPhone 10,2/10,5 or on behalf of iPhone 7s Plus, and iPhone 10,/10,6 may represent iPhone 8.
