Apple just released the fifth beta of an upcoming iOS 11.2 update to developers, a week after releasing the fourth iOS 11.2 beta. Beta testers required to sign up from Apple Dev Center to download the beta profile, in order to update your device to iOS 11.2, navigate to Settings - Software Update.
The update has introduced Apple Pay Cash, Apple's new P2P payments service. The service works through the iMessage app and is designed to allow for quick person-to-person money transfers. iOS 11.2 also fixes an animation bug in the Calculator app that it caused some numbers and symbols to be ignored when user entered in rapid succession.
On the iPhone X, iOS 11.2 adds a small bar underneath the icons located at the upper right side of the device on the Lock screen, which is to make the location of the Control Center gesture more clear. In Control Center for all devices, two new informational pop-ups will displayed when using the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth toggles.
In this update, Apple adds support for faster 7.5W wireless charging for the iPhone X, iPhone 8, as well as 8 Plus. The faster charging speeds will be available when using third-party wireless chargers that supports 7.5W charging. The company also redesigned camera emoji, includes new Now Playing option for controlling content on the Apple TV in CC.
In addition to the above feature, the Cupertino firm introduces a new loading animation for Live Photos effects, new Live wallpapers for the iPhone X, plus it adds a feature that lets developers offer new customers discounted introductory pricing for auto-renewable subscriptions on the App Store.
The fifth tvOS 11.2 beta is now available for developers, it's downloadable through the Software Update mechanism on an Apple TV with an appropriate configuration profile installed. Apple in tvOS 11.2 enables automatic frame rate and dynamic range switching on Apple TV 4K. However, the version re-introduces the Unwatched category in Home Sharing for Movies and TV Shows.
Apple also releases macOS 10.13.2 beta 5 to developers, no major feature discovered in this update other than bug fixes and performance improvements for issues that weren't addressed in macOS High Sierra 10.13.1.
