Apple Releases Fourth Beta Of iOS 11.2, watchOS 4.2, And tvOS 11.2 To Developers

Apple just released the fourth beta of an upcoming iOS 11.2 update to developers, only four days after releasing the third iOS 11.2 beta and one day after the iOS 11.1.2 update. Beta testers need to sign up from Apple Developer Center to download the beta profile, in order to update your device to iOS 11.2, navigate to Settings - Software Update.

The so far update introduces Apple Pay Cash, Apple's new peer-to-peer payments service. Apple Pay Cash works through the iMessage app and is designed to allow for quick P2P money transfers. it also fixes an animation bug in the Calculator app that caused some numbers and symbols to be ignored when user entered in rapid succession.

Secondly, on the iPhone X, iOS 11.2 adds a small bar underneath the icons located at the upper right side of the device on the Lock screen, which is designed to make the location of the Control Center gesture more clear. In Control Center for all devices, two new informational pop-ups will displayed when using the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth toggles.

In the update, Apple includes support for faster 7.5W wireless charging for the iPhone X, iPhone 8, and iPhone 8 Plus. The faster speeds will be available when using third-party wireless chargers that support 7.5W charging. They also redesigned camera emoji, New ow Playing option for controlling content on the Apple TV in Control Center.

The company did same thing to the other operating system, like watchOS. Today they seeds the fourth beta of upcoming watchOS 4.2 update to developers. So once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Dev Center, the new watchOS 4.1 beta can be obtained through Watch app on the iPhone by going to General -> Software update.

No major new feature discovered other than Apple Pay Cash, watchOS 4.2 appears to focus primarily on under-the-hood bug fixes and security updates. Like usual, the Cupertino firm pushed the fourth tvOS 11.2 beta, the beta is available through the Software Update mechanism on an Apple TV with an appropriate configuration profile installed.

Apple has made couple new changes to the update, such as the tvOS 11.2 now restores the unwatched category in the Home Sharing feature for Movies, TV Shows and Home Video. It enables automatic frame rate and dynamic range switching on Apple TV 4K.
