According to a
Bloomberg report, Apple is developing on a new generation of coprocessors for the new Mac laptops and a desktop, similar to the T2 chip seen in the iMac Pro and the T1 chip introduced with the 2016 MacBook Pro.
Even though the report does not specify which lines will be getting the significant internal upgrades. It only says Apple is working on ‘at least’ three new models with accompanying Apple-designed silicon, including two laptops and a new desktop. But there is still a good chance that modular Mac Pro would be the "desktop", given as T2 chip already existed in iMac Pro.

Digitimes, this year's MacBook Pro will not receive any major upgrades, an update for the Retina MacBook is very much expected though, so this could be one of the models being referred to. It is possible the notebook could be updated with a newer chip that offloads even more tasks from the main Intel processor.
When talking about the upcoming iPad model, the publication says Apple is working on a new tablet for a fall introduction that would feature in-house designed GPUs and custom artificial intelligence chips also designed by the company. The new device is also said to feature TrueDepth sensor for Face ID and Animoji.
Much rest of the Bloomberg News report is focused on Apple's shift towards in-house chip design, reducing its dependence on companies like Qualcomm and Imagination Tech, so one day, Apple could make the actual CPUs inside Mac computers. Click here to read the
