Apple's Newest Series Order Is A Sci-fi Drama Called "See" From Steven Knight

Apple is continuing to build up its library of original content, and its newest series order is for a drama called "See," which was written by "Peaky Blinders" creator Steven Knight and will be directed by Francis Lawrence, known for his work on "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "Mockingjay", reports Deadline

According to the media, the show is an epic world-building drama set in the future. Little additional information is available on the series at this time, it comes from Peter Chernin's Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content, which are also behind "Are You Sleeping" an another upcoming Apple TV show.


While it’s not entirely clear how long the series will be, today’s report says it will likely consist of eight episodes. But we do know that the science fiction drama comes from a joint venture between Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

In a competitive situation, Apple has landed the hot TV package See with a straight-to-series order. An epic, world-building drama set in the future, the project is written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2). It comes from the recently launched scripted drama venture between Peter Chernin’s Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

Since the June of 2017, Apple has been aggressively pursuing original content, it orders several other scripted TV shows, such as an sci-fi series called "Amazing Stories, an untitled space drama developed by Ronald D. Moore, a docuseries called "Home" and an untitled "morning show drama" that starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.
