Apple Releases iOS 11.3 Beta 1 With Messages In iCloud, And Other Features Previewed Earlier

Apple has released the first beta of an upcoming iOS 11.3 update to developers, just a day after releasing iOS 11.2.5, an update that focused on bug fixes and security improvements. Developers who registered from Developer Center able to download the iOS 11.3 beta once a proper configuration profile has been installed on your devices.


Apple this morning shared a preview of iOS 11.3, outlining all of the new features we can expect to see in the update. Four new Animoji characters will be added, giving iPhone X users the ability to express themselves as a lion, bear, dragon or skull. Business Chat will be launching in beta in iOS 11.3, a new way for field customer support sessions.

Apple is also updating ARKit to 1.5 with iOS 11.3, which will be recognize and place virtual objects on vertical surfaces like walls and doors, more accurately map irregularly shaped surfaces like circular tables as well. In addition, the view of the "real world" will now be in 1080p HD, up from 720p currently.

Users will be able to disable the throttling in Settings - Battery, but also learn more about the health of their device's battery. In the Health app on the update, users will be able to view health records.

Today's update also seems to introduces Messages in iCloud, it will allow you to store your messages in the iCloud and freed up with the bulk of older message. Messages in the Cloud is automatically enabled for users who have two-factor authentication and iCloud Backup enabled, says Apple.
