Apple Announced A New-Generation Of 9.7-Inch iPad with Apple Pencil Support, Price Starts $299 For Students, $329 For Everyone

Apple has announced an all-new 9.7-inch iPad model during today’s educational event in Chicago. It will support Apple Pencil, which before it was only limited to the Pro models, with the price starts $299 for students, $329 for everyone.

The new model equipped with newer A10 Fusion chip, a chip that used by iPhone 7 series phones. It provides 40 percent of faster CPU and 50 percent faster graphics performance when compared to the previous generation 9.7-inch iPad.


The tablet featured with 9.7-inch Retina display that has a higher-resolution touch sensor to enable support for Apple Pencil. The Pencil, however, can provides a "fluid and natural" drawing experience with sensors that measure pressure and tilt so that users able to take notes or illustrate in various apps, allowing users to be even more creative and productive.

When it comes to taking photo and video recording, its front and rear-facing cameras offer exceptional low-light performance and HD video recording everything from the document scanning, moviemaking, to FaceTime calling. It is also built for mobility and durability for students, sporting an aluminum unibody construction.

As for pricing, the 32GB iPad with Wi-Fi & Wi-Fi + Cellular model is priced &329 and $459, and Apple Pencil can be purchased separately for $99. Schools will be able to buy iPad for $299 and Apple Pencil for $89. The new 9.7-inch iPad can be pre-ordered online, will start to shipping later this week.
