TART: Kuo Leaves KGI, No Headphone Lightning Adapter On 2018 iPhones, Apple Delays Production Of New MacBook Air

Ming-Chi Kuo Leaves KGI Securities: As reported by China Times that Ming-Chi Kuo, the best Apple analyst covering Apple, who has resigned from Taiwanese research firm KGI Securities on last Friday. It's believed that Kuo's next move will not be heavily focus on Apple, but more on other industries.

Kuo, prior to his Apple analyst role at KGI, he worked as an analyst for Concord Securities as well as a senior analyst at the Taiwanese trade publication DigiTimes. Kuo's research notes are informations that gathered from Apple's supply chain partners in Taiwan and other Asian countries, so he certainly holds petty arcuate predictions.

Apple May Not Include Lightning to Headphone Jack Adapter on This Year's iPhones: Barclays's latest research note says that Apple's three upcoming iPhones, including a 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus, a successor of the iPhone X, and a low-priced 6.1-inch LCD version might not include lightning to headphone jack adapter in the box。


Last year, the film have successfully predicts that Apple would continue bundle the headphone adapter alongside 2017 iPhone lineups, so it's likely that the company would ditch that accessory. The bundle with the adapter first arrived when Apple removed headphone jack on the iPhone 7 models.

Apple Delayed Production Of New MacBook To Second Half Of 2018: According to DigiTimes, Apple has postponed production of its upcoming entry-level MacBook Air into second half of 2018, and the Cupertino tech-giant didn't reveal the reasons behind it. 

Several sources including Kuo, Bloomberg, and Economic Daily News believes Apple is working on a more affordable version of the MacBook Air that will be priced below $1000 to launch at some point in 2018. It's expected that the new MacBook Air to have new Retina display, along with some internal hardware upgrades.
