Legrand Launches Wireless Charging Wall Plate For Latest iPhones, Belkin Has A New Lightning To 3.5mm Audio Cable

Legrand today announced a wireless charging wall plate that's certified by the Qi standard, which is compatible with devices such as the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. Even though the charger has a LED light on the base to display the charging status of the smartphone. it is incompatible with the iPhone.

Based on the 3.1A and assuming at least 5V pass through, this should provide up to 15W of power. but iPhone 8/8 Plus and X top out at 7.5W. There's no doubt that the new type of wall plate provides homeowners with a convenient way to recharge iPhones or other Qi certified devices in the kitchen, bedroom or anywhere. The wall plate is available in select retailers like Lowe's for $65-70



Belkin today released a Lightning to 3.5 mm audio cable for the iPhone and has already opened a pre-order on its website. One end of this cable is a Lightning connector and the other is a 3.5 mm audio output, so an iPhone without a headphone jack can be connected to the car speakers through the AUX port.

This cable can also be used to connect the iPhone to other devices with 3.5 mm audio input, such as home speaker systems, headsets, etc. Belkin audio cable passed Apple MFi certification. You can now pre-order the Lightning 3.5mm Audio Cable for $29.99.
