Apple Launches Free Keyboard Repair Program For MacBook And MacBook Models

Apple has just launched a new MacBook and MacBook Pro keyboard repair program that will covers a small percentage of users might experience sticky, repeat unexpectedly characters or keys that do not respond in a normal manner. (Via 9to5mac)


Specifically, Apple has announced that the repairs can be done free of charge. The service can cover the replacement of one or more keys or even the entire keyboard. And, if you have already done the repair, you sure can request for refunds.

“Today we launched a keyboard service program for our customers that covers a small percentage of keyboards in certain MacBook and MacBook Pro models which may exhibit one or more of the following behaviors: letters or characters that repeat unexpectedly or don’t appear when pressed or keys that feel “sticky” or aren’t responding in a consistent manner.”

MacBook 2015-2017 models and Macbook Pro 2016-2017 models are eligible for the program. Customers are welcome to visit a local Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider to receive the keyboard repair service for free once it determined the models has been affected.
