Photos Shown Off Apple's Next-Generation Of iPhone Power Adapter That Will Support USB-C

As we enter July, production of new iPhone models will undoubtedly heat up, now, the latest news of Apple's next-generation of so-called 18W USB PD charger has been obtained from the supply chain, according to Chinese site ChongDianTou.

The supply chain person has leaked several photos: the first picture shows the output of the charger, in which uses a common elliptical design, a gray panel, and a single USB-C output interface. The second picture displays the overall appearance of the charger, white glossy body, flat design, with U.S/. regulatory pin.


The third picture is a close-up of the charger parameters. The picture is not very clear, but you can still vaguely see the charger model as A1720; the input is up to 100-240V 50/60Hz 0.45A; while the output offers 5V/3A, 9V/2A, along with the words “Engineering Sample” that are marked.


As earlier as May of this year, the site revealed that Apple will introduce new iPhone charger design, to feature Standard USB-C output connector, support USB PD fast charge protocol, and with output up to 18W. Artesyn is most likely one of the suppliers for Apple’s new generation of 18W USB PD chargers.
