Kuo: New iPhones Won't Support Apple Pencil, 6.1-Inch Model Release Will Delay To October

According to well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, upcoming iPhones will not include Apple Pencil support, and he went on saying that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone model will release later than the two OLED models, most likely in October, citing sources from supply chain.

The analyst said that both 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone will include Dual-SIM feature, which allows user to have two phone numbers on their devices. As for the 5.8-inch version, Kuo claims that it will support eSIM feature, like the Apple Watch Series 3.

Furthermore, the 6.5-inch iPhone is expected to include a 2-cell 3,300 to 3,400 mAh battery, while the 5.8-inch model will offer a 2-cell 2,700 to 2,800 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the 6.1-inch LCD model will offer a 1-cell 2,600 to 2,700 mAh battery and a lower-resolution display for its cheaper price.

Finally, Kuo expects the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone to account 60-65% of all iPhone sales in the second half of 2018 and the first half of 2019 because of its cheaper price tag. It's said that Apple will announce the next-generation of iPhones on September 12th. Let's wait and see!
