Kuo: New iPhones Won't Support Apple Pencil, 6.1-Inch Model Release Will Delay To October

According to well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, upcoming iPhones will not include Apple Pencil support, and he went on saying that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone model will release later than the two OLED models, most likely in October, citing sources from the supply chain.

The analyst said that both 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch iPhone will include the Dual-SIM feature, which allows the user to have two phone numbers on their devices. As for the 5.8-inch version, Kuo claims that it will support the eSIM feature, like the Apple Watch Series 3.

Furthermore, the 6.5-inch iPhone is expected to include a 2-cell 3,300 to 3,400 mAh battery, while the 5.8-inch model will offer a 2-cell 2,700 to 2,800 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the 6.1-inch LCD model will offer a 1-cell 2,600 to 2,700 mAh battery and a lower-resolution display for its cheaper price.

Finally, Kuo expects the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone to account 60-65% of all iPhone sales in the second half of 2018 and the first half of 2019 because of its cheaper price tag. It's said that Apple will announce the next generation of iPhones on September 12th. Let's wait and see!
