Reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo's latest research report published today says that Service, AR, and Apple Car will create Apple's next trillion dollar market value. Kuo also predicts Apple's first AR devices will release in 2020, while Apple Car to unveil in 2023-2025. (Via MacX)
Apple's current major hardware products will continue to grow in the next few years, but to achieve the next trillion dollar mark depends on Services, new technologies, and products. Kuo says that substantial growth depends on new technologies (AR) to redefine existing products, and products to enter the new market (Apple Car).
Kuo further states that AR is the next generation of the revolutionary user interface. Every time when Apple innovated user interfaces (such as Mac's mouse, iPod's scroll wheel, and iPhone's multi-touch), it can grow dramatically by redefining both existing and new products. It expects Apple to create an AR experience through the AR glasses launched in 2020 to redefine the user interface of existing products.
"Apple Car, which is expected to be launched by Apple in 2023-2025 will be the huge hit in the time", Kuo says. There are two reasons that Apple plans to build a car, one is the automotive industry is reimagining new technologies, with possibly huge replacement needs, like the smartphone industry 10 years ago, with another is Apple's leading technology advantages (AR) are expected to be beneficial to launch Apple Car.
Additionally, the analyst says Apple Car helps the company enter the huge auto finance market, it will significantly be contributing to the growth of Service bussiness. Cupertino now can make better hardware than competitors in the consumer electronics industry and potential rival competitors in the automotive industry.
