Apple Sends Out Media Invites For October Event, Expected To Launch New iPads And Macs

Apple has just sent out media invites for a second major 2018 event set to be held in New York City on Tuesday, October 30 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House, and will kick off at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, titled as "There's more in the making."


Apple will announce new iPad Pros, MacBook Air, and Mac Mini. The forthcoming iPad Pro models to have slim bezels and Face ID as it will be featured with a TrueDepth front-facing camera. This year’s iPad Pro is also rumored to switch over from Lighting to USB-C for the use of the external display. Furthermore, it will not include a notch and a Home button.

As for Macs, we expect a new Mac mini and a budget MacBook model that cost under $1,000, the model may use a Retina display, processor upgrades, more RAMs, better battery life, etc. Meanwhile, Mac mini will be more towards pro users so Apple may adjust the price to be above $500, the company last time updated the lineup is over 1,400 days ago.

Apple will live stream the New York event on its Events app on the Apple TV and the website through the Events page. Since it will be held in New York, the timezone is different than the standard events at WWDC or Apple Park: the Event will start at 10 AM EDT, which means in PDT timezone, it will kick off at 7:00 AM, watch the time!
