There are more than dozens of tv shows and movies that Apple is developing, ranging from scientific series to animation cartoons, while many wonder how Apple plans to deliver its original content to customers, CNBC says that the company plans to give its original content away for free to users of its hardware products without any cost.


The report states that Apple will provide its original content for free via TV app on devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, or users can see it through other subscription services when they sign up. However, there's no free lunch, Apple may offer “PG-rated” shows for free in the TV app, it could still seeking an extra subscription service in the future.

Apple is preparing a new digital video service that will marry original content and subscription services from legacy media companies, according to people familiar with the matter. Owners of Apple devices, such as the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV will find the still-in-the-works service in the pre-installed “TV” application, said the people, who asked not to be named because the details of the project are private.

Apple is spending $1 billion on original content in 2018, even though some companies like Netflix and Amazon spent more than twice of that amount. The Cupertino giant also aims to produce television shows and avoiding risqué content that avoids nudity, raw language, and violence. CNBC believes that it will launch a revamped TV app in early 2019.
