Apple Pencil 2 To Include A Side Button That May Able To Perform Gestures With It

Last weekend, Steve Troughton-Smith, an app developer who like dig and leak new Apple products via iOS system, found out some tidbits of second generation of Apple Pencil. The first generation Apple Pencil was released in September 2015, and is currently compatible 1st-gen iPad Pro and above, iPad 2018, expect it will support the existing models as well.

According to Steve Troughton-Smith, the Apple Pencil 2 has a model number of B332 and has buttons on the side that can be used when the user clicks a button, double-clicks a button, or slides over buttons to change the brush size or pen. The button on Apple Pencil 2 can be thought of as a "right-click menu activator": you will be able to perform some gestures.

The way I figure, the new Pencil will have a button of some sort on the side that when you hold down you can perform gestures with the Pencil — tap, double tap, or swipe. A solid state button sounds very Apple-y. Devs could perhaps use for radial contextual menus

The company will hold a press event tomorrow to launch redesigned iPad Pros, second-generation Apple Pencil, as well as new Mac computers. The media event will kick off at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, which will be in 7:00 AM in Pacific Time, watch the time!

Update: According to the leaker Benjamin Geskin, the second-generation Apple Pencil will adopt a more minimalist design, remove the silver ring at the top, and will also support a new charging method, as well as magnetic that will be sticks to the iPad and the support of gestures thanks to the newly-added side button
