Upcoming iPad Pro To Get Face ID But No Home Button, USB-C + Magnetic Connector, And More

9to5Mac has again leaked details of upcoming Apple products, with this time the new iPad Pro, which should be released this month possible alongside Mac mini and MacBook Air. It appears that the iPad Pro will come in two sizes, each with two configurations, and will comes in cellular and WIFI models, according to sources who familiar with the plan.


The new iPad Pro features an ultra-thin bezel design and no Home button, similar to the iPhone X, XS. The only difference is that the iPad Pro does not have "notch." Because, although the iPad Pro uses bezel less design, the bezel thickness can still accommodate the various sensors that's required for the Face ID, which will support in Landscape mode.

Furthermore, the new iPad Pro will feature a USB-C connector to output 4K HDR video to a external  display. Therefore, a section to be added to the Settings app to control the resolution, HDR, brightness and more. The upcoming tablet will also bring a new magnetic connector, located on the back of the iPad, is designed to connect third-party accessories.

The 2018 iPad Pro will ship new Apple Pencil, it can be paired with the iPad Pro via a distance sensor, similar to the use of AirPods or HomePod. However, it's unclear whether the old Apple Pencil support the new iPad Pro.
