Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S10 series, which is on schedule to be announced on February 20th in the Unpacked event, will see a major overhaul when it comes to design. as it's said to feature the so-called hole-punch display, a front-panel cutout that’s literally just the camera, similar to the Notch on the iPhone XS.

However, an early benchmark suggests that the Galaxy S10 + cannot keep up Apple's 2018 flagship, the iPhone XS in terms of performance, yet, it even worse than the previous year's iPhone X. (Via Slashleaks)

Slashleaks shared allegedly Galaxy S10 Geekbench screenshots, shows that the device configured with Snapdragon 855 chip, 6GB memory, has a single-core score of 3,413 and a multi-core score of 10,256. In contrast, iPhone XS has a single-core score of 4,797, multi-score of 11,584. Somewhat surprisingly, even the iPhone X outperforms the S10, with a single-core score of 4243, and a multi-core score of 10,433.

This is the advantage of Apple's self-developed chips and operating systems, even though the clock speed is lower than Snapdragon 855, fewer cores, and less memory, but the performance is far better than its competitors. Bear in mind, though, benchmarks don't represent the real world usage, just because it has higher scores, it does not mean that it open apps slower than iPhone XS or iPhone X.
