Apple Introduces Original TV Streaming Service "Apple TV+"

Apple has officially announced the new original TV streaming service "Apple TV+" at today's special event, which will offer original content produced by Apple. According to Apple, it will provide dozens of original contents once it's launched, and be the new home to "the world's most creative storytellers."


In order to prove its efforts in original dramas and films, in addition, to show several wonderful films, Apple also invited leading actors and actresses to the event, including director Steven Spielberg, who will reinvigorate the classic Amazing Stories series for Apple TV+, and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.
“We’re honored that the absolute best lineup of storytellers in the world — both in front of and behind the camera — are coming to Apple TV+,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services.
Apple TV+ will be ad-free. All on-demand content is supported offline. It will come to more than 100 countries and regions around the world this fall. However, the subscription fee has not been announced yet, users will have the access to Apple TV+ via new Apple TV apps on iOS, Mac, Roku, Fire TV and supported third-party TVs, Apple will sharing more details during the WWDC this year.

Apple today also updated its Apple TV app, which will serve as the core of video subscriptions. The new Apple TV Channels will allow users to access content from other channels such as HBO, Showtime, Starz, CBS All Access directly from the Apple TV app. Apple TV Channels organizes and edits these streams to deliver top-quality video and audio quality.
